Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, this week the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department officially welcomed Officer Tyler Cronin back to the department. Officer Cronin began his career with us as a dispatcher. He was then able to complete the police academy and gain significant experience in another town before coming back to where it all started.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, In an exciting development for the residents of Ho-Ho-Kus, Mayor Thomas Randall announced on Thursday that recent tests following the borough’s $3.7 million water treatment system upgrade have shown “below detectable levels” of chemical contaminants. This significant milestone comes ahead of the May 23 deadline, marking a successful completion of the remediation efforts.

Paramus NJ, a vehicle allegedly being driven erratically and speeding in Paramus crashed at the intersection of Route 17 northbound and Race Track Road, Ho-Ho-Kus early Monday afternoon, 04/08. The vehicle’s driver was handcuffed by Paramus Police officers and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus by a Ridgewood Fire Department ambulance. Two (2) passengers in the vehicle were initially detained by Paramus Police, but later released after being evaluated by EMTs. Police at the scene would not comment on the nature of their investigation, nor why the driver was handcuffed. Ridgewood Police and Ho-Ho-Kus Police also responded to the incident along with additional ambulances from Paramus and Ho-Ho-Kus. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked BMW SUV from the scene.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, FedEx Ground delivery truck slammed head on into a utility pole at the intersection of Deerhill Drive and Wearimus Road, Ho-Ho-Kus just prior to 12 noon on Friday, 12/08. The vehicle’s driver sustained a minor facial injury in the incident, but refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. Ho-Ho-Kus Police, Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, and Ho-Ho-Kus EMS responded to the incident along with crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division. Wearimus Road was temporarily closed between East Saddle River Road and Powderhorn Drive while PSE&G crews worked to replace a downed pole and restore electric service.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the driver of a silver colored SUV was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a crash in which the vehicle careened off of Route 17 southbound in Ho-Ho-Kus early Friday morning, 10/20, and slammed head on into a large tree. A bus stop shelter was narrowly missed by the fast moving car, but a bus stop sign was not as fortunate. The incident took place just south of Hollywood Avenue. A flatbed tow truck removed the wreckage.
