Hasbrouck Heights Fire Responds to Electrical Fire on Church Street

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, at around 8:30 am March 12th, members of the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responded to Church St for a reported electrical fire. Chief 60 transmitted a 1030 and requested mutual aid from the Wood-Ridge and Carlstadt Fire Departments. Crews stretched into the apartment and found fire in the wall. The fire was quickly extinguished before any extension.No injuries Reported.

Ridgewood NJ ,RHS Boys Basketball Guards Johnny Jackson and Evan O’Reilly were named to the Bergen County Coaches Association’s 2024 All-Bergen County team! Both Johnny and Evan reached the 1,000 career points benchmark this season. Jackson made the first team and O’Reilly was named to the second.

Westmont NJ, Ridgewood Crew wrapped up its indoor rowing season with a sterling performance at the 2024 Haddon Hammer, earning six medals overall, including two golds. Hosted at Haddon Township High School, this event first began in 2010 and is billed as the New Jersey Indoor Rowing Championships.

University of Florida Shuts Down Diversity and Inclusion Office

Gainesville Fl, the University of Florida has decided to eliminate its chief diversity officer position, dissolve related staff roles, and cease any contracts associated with diversity initiatives. This decision comes in response to a new law passed last year, championed by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.
