Rutgers and Unions Announce Deal to End Strike

New Brunswick NJ, overnight, officials with three unions representing thousands of Rutgers University teachers called for their members to return to work five days after launching a historic strike effort. The strike took effect on the morning of April 10, shutting down classes in New Brunswick, Piscataway, Newark, and Camden, and leading to mass protest actions across the campus, in the state capital, and outside the homes of some Rutgers board members. It marked the first time that professors have taken unified action to withhold their labor at the state university, which dates back to 1766, when it was founded as a private, religious educational institution.

The RHS Wind Ensemble visited The US Military Academy at West Point

Ridgewood NJ, the RHS Wind Ensemble visited The US Military Academy at West Point for a tour of their campus, the viewing of a rehearsal by the West Point Band in preparation for an upcoming concert, and a clinic with Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Coven, the band’s Commander and Conductor. The band also played in their 4,500-seat auditorium!

RHS Curricular Bands Spring Concert Featured 3 Increasable World Premiere Musical Pieces

Ridgewood NJ, on Tuesday ,March 28th, the RHS Curricular Bands presented their 2023 Spring Concert at West Side Presbyterian Church. The performance featured 3 INCREDIBLE 100 Year Anniversary commissioned pieces. All  3  pieces were were played for the first time at the concert. The music prices were composed by Laurie Kunzle, Sean O’Loughlin and Nik Gambardella .
