Upper Saddle River NJ, Memorial Day Celebration, Monday, May 31, 2021 11:00 a.m. Please join us Monday, May 31, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. for the Borough Memorial Day Celebration.
The vehicle-only parade will line up on Coach & Candlestick Lanes (residents will not be impacted) at 10:30 a.m. and start the procession at 11:00 a.m., heading south on West Saddle River to the Borough Hall. Upper Saddle River Man Gets 51 Months in Prison for Stealing Millions of Dollars From Lenders By Impersonating Bank Executives in Wire Fraud Scheme

Upper Saddle River NJ, a Bergen County man was sentenced today to 51 months in prison for defrauding lenders and corporations of $4.9 million by impersonating two bank executives interested in funding syndicated loans for global companies, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.

Jeff Tittel, Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club, announces his retirement

Upper Saddle River NJ, Jeff Tittel, Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club, announced his retirement today. Jeff will have served as the NJSC Director for 23 years when he retires on May 1, 2021. He has been involved in every major environmental legislation passing in New Jersey for close to two decades. Just some of his legislative and regulatory lobbying achievements include passage of the California Car Law, the Highlands Act, New Jersey’s Global Warming Response Act, New Jersey’s Fertilizer Law, and NJ’s Electronic Waste Recycling Law. He also worked to pass New Jersey’s Plastic Bag Ban last year, which is one of the most comprehensive in the country, and helped get the Delaware River Basin Commission to pass a fracking ban. Jeff Tittel, Director of the New Jersey Sierra Club, released the following statement:

Upper Saddle River Meets Affordable Housing Compliance

Upper Saddle River NJ, a short sparsely attended 40-minute hearing was all the borough needed  to be declared in compliance with its six-year-old affordable housing agreement. The ruling on Friday by Superior Court Judge Christine Farrington provides the Borough of  Upper Saddle River with protection through 2025 against lawsuits arising from challenges to its affordable housing plan, part of a statewide initiative dating back to the 1980s requiring that each municipality provide its “fair share” of affordable housing.

Erin was last seen on Thursday, December 24, in Upper Saddle River driving a green 2004 Honda Accord with New Jersey plates V40LAZ. The vehicle was last seen on Tuesday, December 29, at 3:14 p.m., traveling westbound on Interstate 78 in Lebanon, N.J.

Upper Saddle River NJ, Once upon a time in a bucolic community called Upper and Saddle River there was pristinely clean Pleasant Brook meandering among high end properties of circa 200 families that found recluse from the city and noisy suburb. Pleasant Brook is not any just any brook. This historic brook is also a tertiary water tributary that feeds the waters to Saddle River. The community called Saddle River organized under joint 07458 zip code was one of the most affluent communities in the union. It all started to go down the hill in 2017……(tbc.)

Upper Saddle River  NJ, Republican candidate for Congress, Frank Pallotta, called on the Freeholder Boards of Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren Counties to pass resolutions opposing Governor Murphy and Senator Smith’s Farmland and Forest Destruction Act (S-2605). Pallotta asked incumbent Democrat Josh Gottheimer to stand up for the environment and join him in calling for bipartisan united opposition to replacing farmland and forests with solar power plants of 800 or more acres.
