Ridgewood Fire Department Takes Delivery on a New Ambulance

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark , the Ridgewood Fire Department recently took delivery of our new ambulance, a 2022 Osage. Although providing medical services to the Village since 1987, the Ridgewood Fire Department has been continually increasing its involvement in responding to the Village’s 9-1-1 ambulance calls in recent years. This is the first ambulance purchased by the Ridgewood Fire Department. This brings the total number of ambulances serving the Village remains at three: Ambulance 10, Ambulance 12 and now Ambulance 46.

“Those who believe in justice believe in innocence until proven guilty. I intend to continue to fight for the people of New Jersey with the same success I’ve had for the past five decades. This is the same record of success these very same leaders have lauded all along. It is not lost on me how quickly some are rushing to judge a Latino and push him out of his seat. I am not going anywhere.”

Ridgewood First Responders Save a Life

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Fire/EMS and Central Dispatch responded to a call on September 16th. Upon arrival, responders found a female in cardiac arrest. Immediate life saving measures were taken, providing CPR and using a defibrillator to reestablish a pulse saving the victims life.

According to Facebook posts , a female driver on Ridgewood Avenue near the church by Hope Street was driving on Ridgewood Avenue and a man in his 50’s darted out in the middle of the road causing the driver to stop short to prevent hitting the man. The man proceeded to drop his pants in the middle of the road. Police were called and are looking for him. He is in his 50’s and was last seen wearing a grey shirt and baggy pants.

The Children’s Environmental Health Center of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai strongly  discourages the installation of artificial turf playing surfaces and fields due to the uncertainties surrounding  the safety of these products and the potential for dangerous heat and chemical exposures.
