Ridgewood NJ, the County will be paving Godwin and Linwood in the near future. Godwin Avenue will have intermittent closures this week for concrete work.
Linwood Avenue East bound will be closed (N Pleasant Avenue to Paramus Road), use East Ridgewood Avenue for detour.

Ridgewood NJ, as previously reported on numerous occasions Ridgewood Water has limited watering to 2 Days per week . ODD numbered addresses may water their lawns, shrubs, flowers and trees on Tuesday and Saturday, and EVEN numbered addresses may do so on Wednesday and Sunday. No irrigation is allowed on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Irrigation shall be performed before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m., to limit evaporation. Those with automatic irrigation systems and those with Smart Controllers may only water between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. You must register your Smart Controllers, on an annual basis, with Ridgewood Water.

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy signed S921/A1545, also known as the “Seinfeld Bill,” which requires telemarketers to provide the name, mailing address, and telephone number of the person on whose behalf the call is made within 30 seconds of a call. In an effort to crack down on telemarketers, the bill takes inspiration from a scene in the hit NBC TV sitcom, Seinfeld.
Ridgewood NJ, Linda McNamara passed away in July of 2022 . On May 17th 2023 the Stable in Ridgewood hosted a memorial event to honor her The event was funded by friends of Linda, and the “Linda Grove” which will be located behind the stable was dedicated .Linda moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey in 1977. She devoted her life to service. She was an educator, an activist and a humanitarian. For over forty years she involved herself in Ridgewood’s civic life and issues, from special education to local green spaces, town sport fields and handicap access. She didn’t always win, but she was always willing to fight; ultimately always making a difference.
Ridgewood NJ, Annual Dog License Registration/Renewals – Deadline June 30, 2023 – Dogs 7 months or older must be licensed. Dog license renewals have been sent out via email. Register before June 30th to avoid the late fee. Please contact the Health Department for more information.
Ridgewood NJ, annual Touch-A-Truck Event – May 18, 2023 – 9:00 am – 2:00 pm – Memorial Park at Van Neste Square – This annual event allows pre-school aged children to take a seat behind the wheel of a real police cruiser, climb aboard a shiny fire truck, and explore up close a fleet of the other emergency and public works vehicles which are usually only seen at a distance. There will also be a Safety Town Kiddie-Car Driving Track, hosted by the Ridgewood Police Department and Little Ivy Learning Center, and a truck story time hosted by the Ridgewood Library. There is no rain date for this event.

Antecedent dry conditions along with relative humidity values below 30 percent are expected. Wind gusts upwards of 25 mph are also expected. Despite the recent green-up, these conditions may allow for elevated fire spread if ignition occurs.
