Emergency : Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water

It is now being reported that possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees that should have been billed in connection with Village provided emergency ambulance transportation, and/or treatment, was neither billed nor collected because Emergency Services volunteers failed to process the required documentation.

Ridgewood Water Customers Report “Brown Water” on Christmas Day

Ridgewood NJ, it appears Ridgewood Waters website crashed on Christmas Day after being deluged with calls and emails from many residents complaining of brown water . The utility has already had a difficult month , on December 16th a water main break on North Irving Street in Ridgewood had the street closed  from Franklin Avenue to Overbrook Road , taking the majority of the day to address the issue.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 60% of American Adults consider Christmas to be one of our nation’s most important holidays, up from 59% last year.  Just six percent (6%) consider Christmas one of the least important holidays, while 29% place Christmas somewhere in between. Wind Chills and Black Ice Greet Last Minute Shoppers Christmas Eve

Ridgewood NJ, PATCHY BLACK ICE AND SUB-ZERO WIND CHILLS INTO SATURDAY AM. Air temperatures are quickly dropping into the teens and 20s, which may result in patchy black ice on elevated roadways, overpasses and bridges for the evening commute. Black ice is nearly impossible to see and roadways may appear only wet. Please use extreme caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and around curves through the evening commute.

Allow plenty of stopping distance and avoid braking suddenly. In addition, gusty west winds will produce wind chill values between 5 and 15 below zero this evening through Saturday morning, with air temperatures in the single digits and teens. Frostbite can occur in a short amount of time, dress in layers and make sure all exposed skin is protected.

High Winds the Culprit for Ridgewood Power Outage in the West Glen Avenue Area

Ridgewood NJ, it appears high winds were the culprit , according to the Ridgewood Police Department, West Glen Avenue was closed between Heights and Hillcrest due to a utility emergency which caused power outages in the area. PSE&G was on scene attempting to restore power.
