Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday night, 04/07, members of the Ridgewood Village Council will discuss the possibility of changing existing zoning ordinances to permit six (6) foot high fencing along the SIDE and REAR yards of any single-family or multi-family residential dwelling. Line of sight height restrictions would still be placed on the erection of fencing adjacent to street corners. Existing residential property zoning ordinances in Ridgewood limit fencing height to four (4) feet unless a regulated pool is being enclosed, or if the residential property abuts a property developed primarily for non-residential use.

Ridgewood NJ, Researchers from the US National Center for Health Statistics on March 31 published a report in the US CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report describing the leading causes of US deaths in 2020. The authors analyzed provisional mortality data from the CDC’s National Vital Statistics System, ranking causes of mortality and contextualizing COVID-19 mortality trends with available demographic and medical data. Based on the provisional data, the estimated age-adjusted death rate in the US increased from 715.2 deaths per 100,000 in 2019 to 828.7 deaths per 100,000 in 2020 (+15.9%). COVID-19 was an underlying or contributing cause of death for 11.3% (377,883) of deaths in 2020; approximately 9% of COVID-19-associated deaths had an underlying cause of death that was not COVID-19. The top 3 leading underlying causes of death in 2020 were heart disease (690,882), cancer (598,932), and COVID-19 (345,323), with the next 7 leading underlying causes of mortality being unintentional injury, stroke, chronic lower respiratory disease, Alzheimer disease, diabetes, influenza and pneumonia, and kidney disease. Previously, suicide was the 10th leading underlying cause of death in the United States but was displaced from the list in 2020 due to mortality from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roosevelt on March 22, 1933. This led to the Eighteenth Amendment being repealed on December 5, 1933, with the ratification of the Twenty-first Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. April 6, the day prior to National Beer Day, is known as New Beer’s Eve.

Ridgewood NJ, Firefighters from Ridgewood Police quickly knocked down a fire in a detached garage located in the 100 block of Avondale Road, Ridgewood, on Monday morning, 04/05. No injuries were reported in connection with the blaze, which severely damaged the structure and caused minor smoke damage to the adjacent single family home. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Emergency Services personnel assisted Ridgewood Fire Department at the scene.

Ridgewood NJ, the Village does not care how it spends our money. Recently they have hired a monitor to patrol the Pickleball Courts at the Glen School. The cost is $30K annually. By instituting there discriminatory policies they have given up $30k in revenue. The dislodged group now has grown to 221 members. They play in Montvale and Wycoff. The group has grown by 30% indicating the popularity of Pickleball. The Mayor and the Village Council have no sense of fiscal responsibility nor do they care. The have sold out to satisfy one neighbor in the Glen School area.
