Fire at Single Family Home in Ramsey Quickly Extinguished

Ramsey Nj, Thursday morning at approximately 6:40am the Ramsey Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire on Lakeview Drive. First responding units arrived and confirmed a working fire in the attic of a single family private dwelling and requested the working fire assignment bringing in mutual aid from Wyckoff, Allendale and Mahwah Fire Departments . Responding units quickly extinguished the fire and had it under control at approximately 7:30am. No injuries were reported .

Franklin Lakes Home Total Loss After Sunday Moring Fire

Franklin Lakes NJ, Sunday morning at approximately 1:50am, the Franklin Lakes Fire Department was dispatched for a reported fire. Chief 330 and Chief 340 arrived on scene and reported a 2.5 story wood-frame residential home heavily involved in fire and transmitted the 2nd alarm. Crews had the bulk of fire knocked down within an hour. No injuries were reported. The house was demolished at daybreak due to safety concerns .The Franklin Lakes Police assisted and  Mutual aid ,  Wyckoff Fire , Oakland Fire ,Waldwick Fire , Allendale Fire, Mahwah ladder Company #4  and Engine Company 425  and Midland Park Fire  all offered mutual aid.

Firefighters Respond to Friday Rush Hour Truck Fire on Route 17 South in Ramsey

Ramsey Nj, on Friday members of the Ramsey Fire Department and Rescue Squad were called for a tractor trailer fire on Route 17 south near North Franklin Turnpike this evening at the height of rush hour. Members of the Mahwah Fire Department assisted with mutual aid and the crews worked together to quickly extinguish the fire. An  Allendale Fire Engine stood by at Ramsey Fire Headquarters for coverage.

All Occupants Including Several Cats made it out Safely from a Douglas Street Fire in Waldwick

Waldwick NJ, the Waldwick Fire Department responded to a working fire in the attic of a home on Douglas Street around midnight this morning. Waldwick Fire Department units arrived on scene and put 2 hand lines into service and quickly extinguished the fire. The department reported that all occupants including several cats made it out safely. The Waldwick Fire Department  thanked the assistance of the Allendale Fire, HoHoKus Fire, Wyckoff, Midland Park Fire and Mahwah Fire Department for their assistance.

Rollover Crash on Franklin Turnpike takes Out Utility Pole

Allendale NJ, Allendale Police, Allendale Fire, and Allendale EMS responded to a Monday morning, 08/13 rollover crash in the 900 block of Franklin Turnpike, Allendale. A utility pole was demolished in the mishap. At least one (1) person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Allendale EMTs. Ramsey Police assisted with traffic control. A flatbed tow truck righted and removed the wreck from the roadway. Police at the scene did not indicate if the downed utility pole caused any outages to electric power or communications services. No word either on whether any extended road closures would be in effect.
