Hawthorne NJ, at 10:23pm the Hawthorne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Cedar Place. Upon arrival Chief 50 reported a 2.5 story wood frame home heavily involved in the rear first and second floor extending into the attic with heavy fire conditions present.
Ramsey Nj, Thursday morning at approximately 6:40am the Ramsey Fire Department was alerted to a possible structure fire on Lakeview Drive. First responding units arrived and confirmed a working fire in the attic of a single family private dwelling and requested the working fire assignment bringing in mutual aid from Wyckoff, Allendale and Mahwah Fire Departments . Responding units quickly extinguished the fire and had it under control at approximately 7:30am. No injuries were reported .
Franklin Lakes NJ, Sunday morning at approximately 1:50am, the Franklin Lakes Fire Department was dispatched for a reported fire. Chief 330 and Chief 340 arrived on scene and reported a 2.5 story wood-frame residential home heavily involved in fire and transmitted the 2nd alarm. Crews had the bulk of fire knocked down within an hour. No injuries were reported. The house was demolished at daybreak due to safety concerns .The Franklin Lakes Police assisted and Mutual aid , Wyckoff Fire , Oakland Fire ,Waldwick Fire , Allendale Fire, Mahwah ladder Company #4 and Engine Company 425 and Midland Park Fire all offered mutual aid.
Hawthorne NJ, the driver and one (1) passenger of a Volkswagen Passat were transported to an area hospital following a Thursday afternoon, 12/03 crash in the 600 block of Goffle Hill Road, Hawthorne, in which the Passat crashed through an outer wall of a single family home and wound up in the basement garage. Hawthorne Fire was assisted by Wyckoff Fire at the scene. Hawthorne Police, Hawthorne EMS, and Wyckoff Police also responded.
Glen Rock NJ, October 5 , the Glen Rock Volunteer Fire Department reported that at 0222 hours this morning, GRFD was dispatched for a reported working fire on Sycamore Terrace. On arrival, Chief Jennings and Asst Chief Aguilar made entry into the basement and observed a heavy smoke condition. Engine 833 (Lt Pimlott) established a water supply and stretched a hand line. Ladder 832 (Capt Burbano) assisted with ventilation and overhaul as well as the rescue of two cats from the structure. Special thanks to Ridgewood, Hawthorne, Fair Lawn, Wyckoff and Paramus for invaluable mutual aid assistance.
