Contini has been a driving force in fostering strong ties between the Italian-American communities and, for over a decade, has been instrumental to Bergen County’s annual Italian-American Heritage and Culture Month Celebration.

Paramus NJ,  Governor Phil Murphy visited Paramus Fire Company 3 to highlight his proposed addition of $10 million in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding for Fiscal Year 2024 to support the continuation of the Firefighter Grant Program, which first launched in May 2022. The ARP Firefighter Grant Program provides funding to local and regional fire departments across New Jersey to ensure firefighters have proper protective, cleaning, and sanitization equipment.

Woodcliff lake NJ, to celebrate Earth Day, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco joined Veolia for the unveiling of an 11-foot sculpture of a massive fish named Finn at the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir to highlight conservation efforts. Constructed from repurposed metal, Finn encourages residents to recycle and is large enough to hold more than 15 trash bags of plastic bottles.

Mahwah NJ, on Tuesday, Bergen County celebrated the completion of a major modernization project at the Law and Public Safety Institute’s in Mahwah which now solidifies our academy as one of the best in the entire nation. At the dedication ceremony, the Department of Law and Public Safety unveiled the training facility street as “Larry Rauch Boulevard,” named after former Law and Public Safety Institute Safety Coordinator Larry Rauch who served in that role for over 18 years and dedicated much of his life to the fire service.

Hackensack NJ, on Tuesday, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco presented his 9th State of the County Address. In his remarks, Tedesco celebrated the completion of major administrative initiatives including the implementation of Bergen County’s own Emergency Medical Services Ambulatory Unit, the opening of the Bergen County Training Annex at the Law and Public Safety Institute, and the completion of five large-scale park upgrades including the renovations of the Darlington Driving Range and grand opening of the Bergen County Rowing Center in Riverside County Park.
