Hackensack NJ, ever since the Democrat sheriff of Bergen County, N.J., and four of his senior officers resigned , one day after a recording surfaced of the sheriff making virulently racist comments to his staff. Sheriff Michael Saudino could be heard bad-mouthing African Americans, the state’s Sikh attorney general, and Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver in comments recorded in January. The recording, which documented Saudino grousing about Gov. Murphy’s inauguration speech, was released Thursday by WNYC.

Its seems the Democrat party in New Jersey has been on a Racist binge :

Bergenfield Mayor and Bergen County Executive Candidate Norman Schmelz Says Other Bergen County Officials Did Nothing During Saudino’s Tiraid

Bergenfield NJ, In a statement Bergenfield Mayor and Bergen County Executive Candidate Norman Schmelz said , “Michael Saudino’s resignation is a step in the right direction for residents of Bergen County and New Jersey. Unfortunately his derogatory and offensive statements concerning women and minorities were already something that was reported in the public sphere and press many times as of late, and many of those who clamored for his resignation in the past few days had no hesitation accepting his support over the past few months. None of his co-partners in Bergen County government seemed shocked at the veracity of his statements, only by its contents; it is a stain on our county that County Executive Jim Tedesco did nothing while all of this hate was spewing and stood by the disgraced Sheriff. Tedesco’s actions may be worse than Saudino. Saudino may not know better, Tedesco does.”

NJ Attorney General’s Office to Launch Probe of Bergen County Sheriff’s Department

Hackensack NJ,  Sheriff Saudino’s resignation is an important first step in repairing the relationship between the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the diverse communities it serves.

Under state law, the Governor has the power to fill the vacancy left by the Sheriff’s resignation. That appointment will be subject to the advice and consent of the state senate. In the interim, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office will oversee day-to-day management of the Sheriff’s Office, with Chief Kevin Pell serving as the officer-in-charge of the department’s operations.

Reader says Saudinio was a “greedy, bigoted, snobby, self-styled elitist “

buford_t_justice

For Saudinio, as a prominant Caucasian, to be as comfortable as he is in singling out and speaking down to, quote-unquote, “the blacks”. For Saudino to allow the natural independence afforded by his unique pre-constituional office to lead his tongue publicly to suggest that the new AG’s minority religion and concomitant garb (the turban) are the reasons he was elevated to that office by the new Governor. For Saudino to go further and give himself license to take a cheap shot another’s moral shortcomings (another officeholder’s apparent problems with same-sex attraction). These all mark Saudino as a self-satisfied majoritarian jerk. Saudino has already proudly shown himself to be without any identifiable political principles by switching midstream to the Democrat party, which, as everyone knows, only really cares about one thing–political power. Finally, his attention to self-interest is unsurpassed among state officeholders in New Jersey. NOTHING was going to interrupt the master bed-feathering class Saudino’s been teaching lo these many years.
.
What a greedy, bigoted, snobby, self-styled elitist this guy is–right at home, one might add, with his new friends. Let it be said without fear of contradiction: “Saudino and the Democrats: Perfect Together.”

Tax and Spend Democrat Phil Murphy for Governor

The people spoke at election. People want Murphy. Regardless of damage he is about to inflict in everyone’s pocket and the state as a whole people just can’t resist his charm. He even declared he would rob people if elected via tax hikes etc. and Ridgewood voted 60% for him. He is so handsome and convincing, even the smart stay at home moms and their Wall Street husbands couldn’t resist. Rejoice. Phil is about to screw us en masse.

Governor Murphy Announces that former Ridgewood mayor to Lead the Office of the Ombudsman for Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities

paul Aronsohn

April 20.2018

the staff of the Ridgewood bllog

Ridgewood NJ, Gov. Phil Murphy today announced the appointment of former Ridgewood Mayor and ethically challenged Paul Aronsohn to head up the newly created Office of the Ombudsman for Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and Their Families, serving as the administration’s lead advocate and ally for New Jersey residents in need of critical services ranging from early childhood through adulthood.

Arosohn’s tenure as mayor was marred by ethics scandals, acrimony from the dais, insane over development of the central business district, suicide bike lanes , dangerous ,over budget and ill-advised ramps at Graydon Pool ,bad Village business decisions and fermenting a hostile environment, impinging on the quality of life in the Village of Ridgewood.  Many residents consider his tenure an all time low in the history of the Village of Ridgewood.

The Office of the Ombudsman, which is in, but not of, the Department of the Treasury, was created by law in January, granting the governor appointment authority.
As the ombudsman, Aronsohn will organize and direct the work of the office with duties that include:

Serving as a source of information for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families and interested members of the public, to help them better understand state and federal laws and regulations;
Coordinating with the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, to provide information and support on navigating and understanding the process for obtaining services from the state Division of Children’s System of Care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities, including information on transitioning between the two programs;
Providing information and communication strategies to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families for resolving disagreements with various state agencies, as well as education on the available options for resolving such disputes;
Working with service recipients, families and the departments to facilitate the provision of services and supports;
Identifying common concerns for individuals and their families, and making recommendations to the Division of Children’s System of Care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities or the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Human Services; and
To assist the Division of Children’s System of Care and the Division of Developmental Disabilities in creating public information programs designed to inform individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, their families, and the public about the role of the ombudsman.
Under law, the ombudsman is also required to issue a written report annually to the commissioners of both the Department of Human Services and the Department of Children and Families, as well as the governor and the legislature.

the fly Just when you thought politics in Ridgewood couldn’t any dirtier………….

fly-on-wall

It seem today a resident of Walthrey Ave who is helping on Mike and Susan campaign spotted a truck outside their home with a male taking picture of his house and campaign signs. When approached the truck left the scene. The resident recorded the license plate and made a police report. The resident then spotted the truck with that license plate park in Ms. Alexandra Harwin driveway. The plate was traced back to Harwin’s husband Rabbi Noah Fabricant .

What is going on in this town? Are resident that support Mike and Susan being record on some list for some future action against them? This kind of tactic comes right out of Paul Aronsohn playbook.

The photos were taken in an attempt to embarrass the homeowner, who is a prominent member of the Bergen County Democratic Organization, because he has lawn signs up in support of Susan, who is a registered Republican.
Guess who was recently elected to serve on the Bergen County Democratic Committe, none other than Paul Aronsohn.

Ridgewood NJ, Facebook post from September shows Alexandra Harwin campaigning for Paul (the Wall)  Vagianos another promoter of high density housing and destruction of the Village character.

Hi all! I am hoping to do lots of canvassing for the Flip the 40th campaign, but I need someone to watch my kids (ages 3.5 and 1) during canvassing hours, as my husband (a rabbi) works Saturday and Sunday mornings during prime canvassing hours. Would anyone else with kids be interested in combining forces and hiring a babysitter together so we can canvas?

The Flip The 40th Campaign was the name of the campaign to get Paul (the wall) Vagianos elected to state assembly .

Are the Democrats attempting to pick the winner of the Republican primary for Congress in the 5th District?

RINO GOP

Gottheimer Supporters Now Backing John McCann

February 25,2018

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Hackensack NJ , The Lonegan for Congress campaign is questioning if Democrats have infiltrated the ranks of the Republican Party in the 5th District now that a prominent New Jersey family with ties to Democrat Josh Gottheimer is publicly supporting John Mcann in the Congressional race.

Harry Shortway is the Mayor of Vernon Township, in Sussex County. His father, also named Harry Shortway, is the Mayor of Midland Park, in Bergen County.

Harry Shortway of Vernon was the most prominent Republican in Sussex County to endorse liberal Democrat Josh Gottheimer for Congress. His father, who held a patronage position with the Democrat Sheriff of Bergen County, recently told GOP officials that he too was supporting Democrat Gottheimer.

On Sunday, February 25th, the Shortways will be hosting a campaign event for John McCann’s congressional campaign committee. The event will be held at the family business: Shortway’s Barn, in Hawthorne. McCann claims to be a loyal Republican, but why are two Republican supporters of the Democrat incumbent supporting him?

McCann was also in the employ of the Bergen County Democrat Sheriff Michael Saudino until announcing his run for Congress last September.

Organization For Economic Growth says Tedesco has no intention of fighting for the taxpayers of Bergen County or doing anything to promote business growth

JimTedescoJuly72014

February 6,2018
the staff of the Ridgewood

Hackensack NJ, Alex Cucciniello, the Executive Director of the Organization For Economic Growth commented on Jim Tedesco’s announcement he plans to run again for Bergen County Executive, “Apparently Tedesco supports the senator’s recent churlish behavior as Menendez remained seated and scowling while President Trump delivered a well received State Of The Union speech highlighting the growth in the U.S. Economy and honoring the heroes who have given so much to this country.”

“It is truly troubling that our the current county executive chose to announce his re-election bid in a room filled with state politicians who are out of touch with Bergen County residents. Tedesco’s choice of supporters says a lot about where he stands on the issues – and he apparently stands far to the left – too far for most Bergen County residents.

“The fact that Mr. Tedesco invited U.S. Senator Bob Menendez to be by his side, after Menendez’s his recent federal corruption trial is curious. Apparently Tedesco supports the senator’s recent churlish behavior as Menendez remained seated and scowling while President Trump delivered a well received State Of The Union speech highlighting the growth in the U.S. Economy and honoring the heroes who have given so much to this country.

It is also instructive to see that Tedesco is so overwhelmingly supportive of a governor who wants to make New Jersey a sanctuary state and force taxpayers to fund legal aid for illegal immigrants who are flouting federal law.

Apparently Mr. Tedesco has no intention of fighting for the taxpayers of Bergen County or doing anything to promote business growth.”

Readers not Happy with Political Grandstanding over Pastor Thomas Johnson passing

Mt Bethel Baptist Church

Sadly the political opportunists are posturing to be quoted in the newspaper and photographed at the wake and funeral. He was such a great man and will now be taken advantage of in death by those who cannot miss an opportunity to see and be seen.

For just once could FORMER Mayor Paul Aronsohn refrain from responding to the news media. How disrespectful of Pastor Johnson that the FORMER Mayor felt the need to be quoted. Shut up Paul; we’re sick and tired of hearing from you. Thanks much.

Reader says one would think it would take a miracle, or at least some extremely fortuitous set of circumstances going Lonegan’s way, to enable him to flip the seat back into republican hands

Lonegan Official 8

The fifth congressional district was recently gradually trending blue, out from under Garrett who was still showing up well for re-election every two years until he was ambushed in 2016 via a disingenuous (but admittedly politically successful) LGBT line of attack. He had all the integrity in the world (particularly compared to the average DC swamp denizen) and yet was ruthlessly trashed because he would not yield to pressure to deviate from his strong sense of traditional personal morality. Say what you want but Garrett was not going to do like Obama did and blatantly flip-flop on his belief regarding marriage only being between one biological man and one biological woman. It’s 2018 now, though, and what with the proportional advantage the Democrats have amassed in terms of affiliated registered voters in the 5th Congressional district (gubernatorial candidate Guadagno found voters living in this district considerably less inclined toward her message than did Christie when he ran twice), one would think it would take a miracle, or at least some extremely fortuitous set of circumstances going Lonegan’s way, to enable him to flip the seat back into republican hands.

Reader answers “Is this the same Steve Lonegan that was one of the most anti-Trump people during the campaign?”

"Steve" Lonegan

“Is this the same Steve Lonegan that was one of the most anti-Trump people during the campaign?”
Yes… but not what you seem to be implying.
.
Lonegan was pro Ted Cruz (that’s why he was “against” Trump), Now that Trump is in he fully supports him even though Trump wasn’t his first choice in the primaries.
Lonegan is a solid guy if you believe in Republican values like tax cutting, etc and he aligns with Trumps agenda.
.
If you are a supporter of the Trump agenda (which it seems like you are) then a Lonegan victory would help implement it.
If you are a McCain, McConnel, Murkowski, Graham, Flake type Republican then Lonegan might not be for you in the primary.
If you are a Democrat then it does not matter who the Republicans put up since you’ll be voting “D” anyway…
