Ridgewood NJ, attention Ridgewood Shoppers The Village Council recently approved Free Holiday Parking each Thursday between Thanksgiving and Christmas from 4 pm and 8 pm to promote visiting our downtown. According to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, this includes street parking, the Hudson Street garage and CBD parking lots. Let’s help support our local businesses this holiday season!
Ridgewood, NJ, the Ridgewood Guild orchestrated a local shopping event in the central business district known as the Ridgewood Guild’s CASH MOBS! The event kicked off with a complimentary breakfast at on of our favorite spots Pierre & Michel and continued with a visit to five local retailers: Olive R. Twist, Pazazzed, Beauty Club Salon, Hot Jewelry Box, and Hunt and Orchard. Shoppers spent over $2000 at these retail stores, supporting the local community. The Ridgewood Guild encourages everyone to stay engaged and look forward to Holiday Cash Mobs during one of their Late Night Thursdays. It’s a reminder to “Stay Local, Shop Small” and support local businesses.

Ridgewood NJ, an unoccupied Toyota Yaris rolled away from its parking spot in downtown Ridgewood early Monday afternoon, 10/09, and struck another vehicle before slamming into a busy outdoor dining area at the Raymond’s Restaurant. Thankfully, no one was injured in the freak accident, and damage was limited to a table, some chairs, and an outdoor flower box. Neither the Yaris nor the vehicle it struck were badly damaged; both were driven from the scene. Ridgewood Police issued one (1) summons in connection with the mishap. Ridgewood Fire Department and a paramedic team responded to the incident as a precaution. Two (2) restaurant patrons were evaluated by EMTs; both refused medical attention.

The hayride people cannot conduct the ride because of dangerous conditions and some of the musicians can’t play. The good news is….Sunday Is supposed to be beautiful so we are extending the hours. The new time is 11:00 – 6:00.”

The Village of Ridgewood will be relacing trees in the wells along Oak, Chestnut ,Walnut streets and Franklin Avenue in the Central Business District . The trees were chosen specifically to thrive in Ridgewood’s downtown , provide more shade in the summer , better air quality and create a more beautiful downtown.
