Businesses Take Another Hit from Murphy as Payroll Tax Increases to Fund Unemployment

Trenton NJ, Senator Jim Holzapfel and Assemblymen Greg McGuckin and John Catalano are speaking out against Governor Murphy’s plan to replenish the unemployment insurance fund with a $250 million payroll tax hike on employers. The 10th District Legislators are criticizing the Governor for continuing to hurt businesses in the state.

Building on the successful visioning process that culminated in the Our Village, Our Future Plan, the Master Plan process will result in the first comprehensive Master Plan for the Village in 38 years.

Ridgewood Could Be Facing a Hudson Garage Parking-apocalypse

Ridgewood NJ, unlike other towns with electric signs warning motorist to slow down and drive 25, the Village in a quest to get more people to park in the Hudson Garage has posted an electric sign loudly proclaiming  ,”come to Ridgewood and park in the new Hudson Garage, its only $1.25 an hour” .  Apparently the short fall in parking revenue is beginning to raise a lot of eyebrows . The new signs clearly target those who don’t go anywhere without GPS/navigation.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood restaurant It’s Greek to Me, will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination from all diners who wish to be seated inside the business’s main dining room. On the restaurant’s Facebook page its states ,“For the safety of our fully vaccinated staff and patrons, beginning Tuesday August 10, indoor dining will be reserved for those showing proof of vaccination. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. All of our outdoor dining will remain available to everyone.”

Village of Ridgewood seeks to acquire Town Garage Property via Eminent Domain Process

The Village Council announced during its Wednesday night Public Work Session a proposal to acquire via an eminent domain/condemnation process the former Town Garage property on Franklin Avenue near South Walnut Street.  The Village’s intent is to turn the property into a pocket park (park, not parking).
