Hirsh Singh: “Open Up The New Jersey Economy”

LINWOOD NJ, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Hirsh Singh called for the calibrated reopening of the New Jersey economy and ending the lockdown of the state. While speaking to his supporters, Singh presented his plan that would not only open up the economy, but also help contain the spread of COVID-19.

According to Singh’s plan, we should continue all efforts to contain and control the virus in the areas that have been hit the hardest, but in areas where we have healthy low-risk individuals able to work and which have not been as seriously hit as the areas adjoining New York City, we must immediately start reopening for humanitarian, constitutional, and economic reasons even as we put social distancing norms into place and maintain such norms.

Ridgewood NJ, The Village Code of the Village of Ridgewood Section 105-13, requires that all owners of dogs must immediately and properly place their pet’s solid waste, which has been deposited onto public or private property, into a suitable container (plastic bag) and then disposed of in a refuse container. It also provides for a fine of up to $500 for not doing so. Recently, there have been many pet owners who are not picking up after their pets and/or placing the bags with solid waste into their neighbor’s bushes or leaving the bag on the ground. At this very challenging time, please do the right thing by picking up after your dog and disposing of it properly.

The Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have announced flight plans over New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia to salute first responders and hospital workers working on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak. The flyovers will take place April 28.

Rooney, Governor Murphy stated there would be a re-opening plan during his press conference today, unfortunately there was no “real plan.” New Jersey residents and business are completely frustrated by the Governors lack of an opening plan. His “Road Back“ is a “Road Block”, my office receives hundreds of emails and calls from constituents regarding a definitive re-opening plan with definitive benchmarks. Today the Governors executive order remains in effect indefinitely.

Dear Ridgewood School Community,

While we have not received any official notification from the Governor, I sense that people are slowly coming to the conclusion that schools may not reopen and remote learning may continue for the duration of the school year. Governor Cuomo stated in one of his press conferences that particular challenges or events define many generations. The Spanish Flu, World War II, the Vietnam War, and 9/11 are examples of historical events that had a lasting impact; similarly, this global pandemic will be a landmark moment for this generation.

Trenton NJ, The New Jersey Turnpike is set to increase tolls by 36 percent, and drivers can expect to pay 27 percent more on the Garden State Parkway.

The toll hikes are moving forward despite the lack of required public hearings due to the coronavirus crisis, and Senator Declan O’Scanlon called the maneuver “an outrageous slap in the face to the spirit of public hearing laws.

TRENTON  NJ,  After announcing indefinite benchmarks for restarting the economy,no timetable to reopen and people continue to suffer socially, economically and mentally. Governor Murphy is clearly making this political as opposed to doing what is best for the people of New Jersey.

Assemblyman Brian Bergen wants Gov. Phil Murphy to put forth an actionable plan sooner rather than later.“Governor Murphy’s plan is telling us that it doesn’t matter how many people are becoming impoverished as long as they don’t get COVID-19,” said Bergen (R-Morris).
