Ridgewood NJ, members of the State of NJ Local Finance Board met in public via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, and did not accept Administrative Law Judge Jude-Anthony Tiscorina’s recommendation to overturn and dismiss the Notices of Violation and corresponding fines issued to Paul Aronsohn and Roberta Sonenfeld.

Morristown NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal today announced that an attorney pleaded guilty today to tampering with public records to conceal an illegal straw donor scheme. She was charged in an investigation by the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA).

Ridgewood NJ, Did the pre-planned and deliberate disruption of a peaceful “Stop Asian Hate” rally (which was organized by the Ridgewood Chinese American Association) in and of itself constitute a bias crime? In our opinion it did, and as such should be fully investigated by the State of NJ Attorney General’s Office.

Ridgewood NJ, the Stop Asian Hate Rally was held yesterday at 2pm at Van Neste square. We have to be honest when we first heard about the rally , given some Ridgewood residents recent attacks on the only non white school board members ,who also happen to be Asian and the derogatory language used by some residents toward some Asian community in public meetings, it did cross or mind that this would be a “Hate Asian ” rally .We where however pleasantly surprised that is was not.

Englewood Cliffs NJ, Councilwoman Deborah Tsabari resigned from her Borough Council seat Thursday afternoon, attributing her departure to personal attacks and bullying by the mayor.
Tsabari, a Democrat, had served two controversial years on the governing body, including pleading guilty to a felony. Her resignation was effective immediately.

Trenton NJ, NJ Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2) released the audio of a death threat Ocean City columnist John McCall, a longtime member of the New Jersey Press Association, recently left on his home phone while he was in Washington and blasted the Ocean City Sentinel for publishing columns, before and after, in which McCall insinuates Van Drew should be executed for treason, vividly describes invading and destroying his home, and graphically ponders what it would be like to sexually assault his wife over the hood of her car.
