Village of Ridgewood Leash Law : No longer than six feet in length

Ridgewood NJ, Dogs must be on a leash, no longer than six feet in length, in the following Village parks: Citizens Park, Twinney Pond Park, Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, Leuning Park, Kings Pond Park, Veterans Memorial Park walking or jogging path, Irene Habernickel Family Park paved walking or jogging paths and on the trails, Schedler Property, Dunham Trail (open space area from Grove Street to Spring Avenue), Grove Park, Gypsy Pond Park (south of the Lakeview Compost Facility) and North Road Park.

Absolutely a Gorgeous Fall Walking Experience on the Dunham Trail in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, resident Boyd Loving  took some scenic shots of fall colors on Dunham Trail in  Ridgewood . Dunham Trail is a 2.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located in Ridgewood,  that features a waterfall and is good for all hiking skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, bird watching, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Ridgewood NJ, this has been National Adoption Week for pets, and by now, thousands of dogs and cats might have new homes in the hearts of many thousands of people. But as the holidays approach, scammers know that families are hearing about their kids’ NEED for a dog or cat. And scammers are ready to take advantage by offering up that perfect pet — for a fee. You’ll find ads offering litters of puppies, especially, on websites and listservs online. But once you pay, your supposed pet and the “breeder” will vanish, along with your cash. Here are ways to spot those puppy and pet scammers and stop them in their tracks.

[DAY 151 MISSING] Zorro has been missing since 3/18 after a sitter hired via Rover.com brought him from Lakeview, Chicago to WAUKEGAN, IL where she then “lost” him. She lied to me for 5 days until I arrived home, finally discovering the truth.

New Bill Moving through the NJ Legislature Seeks to Impose Stricter Regulations and Penalties for owners of Large Dogs

Ridgewood NJ, a bill moving through the state Legislature, known as the Responsible Dog Ownership Act, was created partly in response to a deadly dog attack in Carteret earlier this year.
A 3-year-old boy was killed in the March 17 attack. Two pit bulls mauled the boy and were subsequently euthanized.
