President Trump signs social media executive order that calls for removal of liability protections over ‘censoring’

Washington DC, Flanked by Attorney General Bill Barr, President Trump signed an executive order in the Oval Office on Thursday that calls for new regulations under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 (CDA) to remove statutory liability protections and cut federal funding for tech companies that engage in censorship and political conduct.

“My name is Ryan Ang from Ang1 Trainings . I am a 16 year old Filipino basketball trainer located in Bergen County . Due to the recent outbreak  of COVID 19 ,athletes have not been able to participate in any basketball activities including personal and group training in fear of catching the Coronavirus . Moreover I am unable to conduct my training sessions as it might jeopardize the health and safety of both myself and the athletes . Despite all the negative effects of COVID 19 ,there is come positivity beyond the virus . I have developed a way athletes can train with me without jeopardizing my safety and their safety. I will be conducting online training through the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram .My first ever free online training session will be held today from 11 am to 1130 am  . Facebook Hit With Another Massive Data Breach

Ridgewood NJ, CBS is reporting that Over 267 million Facebook users have had their personal information exposed by another massive data breach.

Security researcher Bob Diachenko reportedly made the disturbing find on Dec. 14. Diachenko and U.K. technology research firm Comparitech believe the unprotected database was left open on the dark web for nearly two weeks.

During that time, the names, phone numbers, and Facebook user IDs were exposed in the latest embarrassing mishap for the social media giant.According to CNET, Diachenko believes criminals in Vietnam are responsible for stealing the information. At the moment there are no details on who was impacted.

A Facebook spokesman said in a statement that they are looking into the breach, but claimed the data was probably harvested before Facebook made recent changes to better protect user information.

Ridgewood Resident Victim of Cyber Stalking on Facebook

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report a Bogert Avenue resident responded to Ridgewood Police Headquarters on Sept. 27 to report harassment. The victim reported the actor posted photos on Facebook which caused alarm and believed to be harassing in nature. The victim was advised of her right to sign a civilian criminal complaint but reported she will consult with an attorney prior to signing criminal complaints.

It’s the last place some of us would think to go for medical advice but a New Zealand woman says it was the advice from a Facebook friend she’s never met that saved her life. After undergoing months of surgery and radiation therapy for throat cancer, Diana Craig thought she was in the clear. However a routine follow-up with her doctor in May showed that the cancer had returned.  Her team of specialists in New Zealand, where she lives, gave her only six to 24 months to live.

“Employees must respect the laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, rights of the public, Village, and other third-party rights. Any use of the Village’s name, logos, service marks or trademarks outside the course of the employee’s employment, without the express consent of the Village Manager is strictly prohibited. To minimize the risk of a copyright violation, employees should provide references to the source(s) of information used and cite copyrighted works identified in online communications. 

Notwithstanding the Village’s right to read and retrieve any email messages sent to or transmitted from Village computers, such messages shall be treated as confidential by other employees and accessed only by the intended recipient. Any exception to this policy must receive prior approval from the appropriate departmental director or the Village Manager.

Trump Administration Begins Monitoring Social Media Censorship

Washington DC, The Trump Administration on Wednesday opened an online form where Americans can share instances in which they’ve been censored by social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube.

The form asks users to share their contact information, social media links, their citizenship and residency status and links or screenshots of any social media content they’ve posted that was censored by the likes of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube.

No Sanctuary for Free Speech as Murphy Administration Tries to Shut Down Facebook Group

Trenton NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and the Division on Civil Rights today called on Facebook to help stem the “rising tide of hate” in New Jersey and across the nation by examining a Facebook page known as Rise Up Ocean County (RUOC).

While no doubt the Rise Up Ocean County (RUOC) has some controversial content the Attorney Generals Letter to Facebook relies on out of context remarks and clearly there are many Democrat groups in New Jersey promoting cop killers that have not illicit-ed a response from the state AG .

Right on the groups about page its states ,”Let’s start with what we are not. We are NOT anti-Semitic, in fact we welcome all faiths to our efforts and more specifically embrace our friends in the orthodox Jewish community. This is NOT about a specific religion, this is about equal treatment under the law and mutual respect for others. “
