Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Department has had several reports of three males ringing doorbells and banging on doors around 0230 hrs. on August 10. We are aware of a similar incident with the same suspects that was posted on social media today as well. In one incident, a resident reported that their storm door was broken and damaged. Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police Department is investigating another shoplifting of alcohol from the Glen Rock Bottle King. The above individual took several bottles off the shelf and exited with the liquor. The suspect entered the passenger seat of a 2016 white Infinity Q50 which was being driven by another individual. This vehicle is registered to a business out of Wayne, NJ. The suspect was confronted by a store manager as he was entering the vehicle. The vehicle fled in a reckless and dangerous manner from the parking lot.

Glen Rock NJ, on Thursday July 20th at 8:26 PM a Glen Rock resident reported to the Glen Rock Police that she was contacted by an unknown person who told her that he was holding her daughter hostage and demanded $5,000 to let her go, which is a common phone scam. The victim was able to contact her son to verify that her daughter was OK and did not lose any money as a result of the attempted scam.

Glen Rock Nj, Glen Rock Police patrol officers took an individual into custody late Tuesday morning, 06/06, in connection with the alleged possession of fictitious NJ State temporary license plates with an intent to sell same. The apprehension took place in the parking lot of a CVS store located at 175 Rock Road, Glen Rock following a “consent search” of the individual’s motor vehicle by responding patrol officers. A concerned citizen who claimed to have arranged a meeting at the CVS to purchase one of the license plates, tipped Glen Rock Police by phone of the proposed transaction. The detained individual was transported by Glen Rock PD headquarters for further investigation and possible arrest processing.

Glen Rock NJ, PSE&G’s web site reported less than five (5) customers were without electric power late Sunday afternoon, 06/04, as a result of a downed tree limb in the 500 block of Ackerman Avenue, Glen Rock. Glen Rock Police officers provided traffic control throughout the incident. No injuries were reported and property damage was limited to damaged lawns & garden shrubbery.
