Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police on Tuesday October 12th , Glen Rock police detectives started investigating a break-in at a home on Cornwall Road.
Glen Rock NJ, a maskless adult male commuter train passenger displayed a knife and threatened a NJ Transit conductor who had asked him to put on a mask as the train entered Glen Rock Boro Hall Station, Glen Rock on Wednesday morning, 10/20. The suspect disembarked the train, fleeing the area on foot, and subsequently sought shelter nearby in the home of an acquaintance. An alert Glen Rock Police supervisor observed the individual enter the home and placed a radio call for back up. The home was quickly surrounded by Glen Rock Police and Ridgewood Police officers, who ensured the suspect remained in place until NJ Transit Police officers arrived. Two (2) NJ Transit Police officers placed the individual under arrest shortly after their arrival and transported him to an undisclosed location for processing.
Glen Rock NJ, a body recovered by the US Coast Guard off of Long Beach Island Thursday night was identified as a Glen Rock man who had been reported missing on Sunday.

Glen Rock NJ, A multi-vehicle Tuesday evening, 10/05, collision, in which one (1) vehicle rolled on its roof, slowed rush hour traffic on Route 208 southbound in Glen Rock. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, and Glen Rock EMS units responded to the incident, which occurred south of the Lincoln Avenue overpass. Hawthorne Police assisted with traffic control. Two (2) damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by flatbed tow trucks. Glen Rock firefighters attended to a crash related fluid spill.
Glen Rock NJ, on Thursday September 30th at 3:34 PM a 13-year-old Ridgewood boy was knocked off his bicycle by a passing vehicle at the intersection of Ackerman Avenue and Broad Street. The boy was not sure if the motorist was aware that their vehicle made contact with him, and he was only able to describe it as a darker colored sedan. He sustained a minor scrape, which was treated on scene by the officer who contacted the boy’s mother. The mother declined further medical treatment for her son.
Glen Rock NJ, An early Saturday afternoon, 10/02, brush fire along the PSE&G right-of-way near Prospect Street in Glen Rock was quickly contained and extinguished by Glen Rock police officers and firefighters. A nearby homeowner using a garden hose also assisted in fighting the blaze, which generated a large amount of smoke, but caused very little damage. Neighbors reported hearing at least one (1) explosion just prior to noticing smoke coming from the area. No PSE&G electric transmission equipment appeared to have been damaged in the conflagration, nor were there any injuries reported. Ridgewood firefighters assisted their Glen Rock counterparts in ensuring the area was completely free of “hot spots.”
Glen Rock NJ, No injuries were reported following the Thursday evening, 09/23, crash of a BMW SUV into the front of Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, 1020 Maple Avenue, Glen Rock. The vehicle sustained only very minor damage, but the establishment’s glass store front was demolished, along with some interior furnishings. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, and Glen Rock EMS responded to the mishap. Code enforcement and health department personnel were notified via telephone of the incident. Police at the scene did not provide information as to the crash’s likely cause.
Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police a Washington State man is charged with sexually assaulting a Glen Rock teenager who he met on the internet and began an online relationship with this year.
Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, and Glen Rock EMS personnel rushed to aid the adult male driver of a full sized SUV that crashed head-on into “The Rock,” at the intersection of Doremus Avenue and Rock Road, Glen Rock, on Sunday night, 09/19. The victim was alert and conscious after being helped from his vehicle. Glen Rock EMS was assisted with patient evaluation by a paramedic team. An ambulance from Glen Rock EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. Glen Rock firefighters disconnected the vehicle’s battery and attended to a minor crash related fluid spill. The wreck was removed from the scene by a tow truck. There was no damage to “The Rock.” The accident’s cause remains under investigation by Glen Rock Police. Ridgewood Police assisted at the scene by providing crowd control.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police report that on Friday August 20th at 1:04 PM ,a Mortlock Place homeowner reported a newly installed vinyl fence missing from his property. The complainant related that he had been involved in a civil dispute with a contractor concerning the price of the installation and alleged that the contractor may have removed the fence.
Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police on Monday August 16th at 2:20 PM, a Glen Rock resident reported being contacted by a collection agency over a delinquent bill from a wireless carrier. Upon inquiry, the resident was informed that the cell phone in question had been shipped to an address in Newark. A review of the account also detected other discrepancies showing that this was, in fact, a fraud.
Glen Rock NJ, on Thursday August 5th at 8:03 AM , Glen Rock Patrols were dispatched to Super Fresh on Lincoln Avenue to investigate a 9-1-1 report of a dispute in progress which was becoming physical. Upon arrival, both parties had been separated. Investigation found that a customer, a 55-year-old Paterson man, had entered the store and began handling bread from bread boxes with his bare hands. A store employee approached the man asking him not to touch the bread with his hands, providing him with a set of tongs which are available to customers for this purpose. The customer became irate and began waving the tongs in the employee’s face leading to the dispute. Neither party wished to sign complaints. The customer was escorted out of the store, at the request of management, and was advised to shop somewhere else.
Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police on Wednesday August 4th at 6:12pm , a Hawthorne man reported he purchased $1,500 worth of electronics equipment from two men selling the equipment from their vehicle in the parking lot of the Prospect Stores on July 4th. The man later found he had been the victim of fraud having been sold fake equipment. According to the victim the actors were two white or Hispanic males.
Glen Rock NJ, on Wednesday August 4th at 10:02 AM , Glen Rock Police reported a seemingly credible concerned citizen approached an officer on a traffic detail reporting that there was an injured male subject on the 400 block of Broad Street flagging down motorists stating he had a gunshot wound to his leg and needed assistance.
