South Hackensack NJ, On Friday June 10th South Hackensack Firefighters responded to the blaze just after 3 a.m. The blaze happened right around the corner from South Hackensack’s firehouse. Heavy smoke limited immediate access to the building .
Hackensack NJ, Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information on the shooting that occurred at 789 Main Street in Hackensack on Sunday evening .
Paramus NJ, a residential structure in the 100 block of Prospect Street, Paramus was declared “uninhabitable” by a Borough of Paramus building inspector following an incident in which the adult male driver of a 4-door Volvo sedan lost control of his vehicle and crashed head-on into the home late Thursday morning, 05/26. The driver was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for evaluation and possible treatment. A flatbed tow truck extricated the Volvo from the structure, and removed it from the scene. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, Paramus Rescue Squad, and Paramus EMS personnel and equipment responded to aid the victim.
Glen Rock NJ, a Mother’s Day outing ended badly when an adult female was struck and knocked to the ground by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Glen Rock strip mall early Sunday evening, 05/08. Glen Rock Police, Ridgewood Police, Glen Rock EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital rushed to aid the injured woman, who was, fortunately, completely alert and conscious after impact. A Glen Rock EMS ambulance transported her to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for treatment on her non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved, an adult male, remained on the scene and fully cooperated with police officers who investigated the mishap.
River Edge NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of SUN MIN GRACE YOO CHAN (DOB: 1/10/1986; married; educational counselor) of River Edge, NJ on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and child endangerment. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the River Edge Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Walker.

Hackensack NJ, City of Hackensack Fire Department Deputy 2, Rescue 1, Engine 2 , & Hackensack UMC responded to an early morning Prospect Avenue and Central Avenue for two vehicle motor vehicle accident. Two parties were treated and transported to Hackensack University medical center. Hackensack police will be conducting the investigation. No further information available at this time.

Hackensack NJ, City of Hackensack Fire Department Engine 5, Rescue 1, Deputy 1, & HUMC BLS and ALS responded to car and NJ Transit buss accident on Main and Coles. Fire Fighters extricated 1 person from the car and the occupant was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center . No injuries reported on the bus . Hackensack police are conducting an investigation .

Closter NJ, this morning Closter Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Corps Rescue 728, ambulances 726 & 727 responded to the scene of a horrific crash at High Street & Closter Dock Road. Both occupants of the minivan were expertly extricated, then transported to Memorial and Tenakill Fields where helicopter landing zones had been set up. Both patients were flown to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. On scene ; Closter Police, Closter Fire Department, Alpine Fire , Demarest, Fire Harrington Park Fire , and Norwood Fire Depts, ALS 106, and the flight medics.
Paramus NJ, four (4) individuals were transported by ambulances to two (2) area hospitals following a multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 southbound in Paramus early Wednesday afternoon, 03/09. A rolled over dump truck involved in the crash spilled gravel over two (2) lanes of the busy highway, a concrete center divider was obliterated, and a crash related fluid spill triggered a response by Hazmat personnel. At least three (3) passenger vehicles were towed from the incident, which at times closed all lanes of Route 17 southbound and northbound. Paramus Police , Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, and the Paramus Rescue squad all had personnel on the ground at the scene. NJDOT also responded with numerous emergency vehicles and personnel.
Saddle Brook NJ, the adult female driver of a 4-door Acura TLX sedan was injured on Sunday afternoon, 02/20, when her vehicle crashed into residential structure located in the 300 block of Schepis Avenue, in Saddle Brook. Saddle Brook Fire Department, Saddle Brook Police, Saddle Brook EMS, Saddle Brook OEM, Elmwood Park Fire Department, and Hackensack Fire Department personnel and equipment responded to the incident. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A construction sub-code official from the Township of Saddle Brook also responded to the scene. No information was provided by police at the scene as to what caused the driver to lose control and crash her vehicle.
Palisades Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ELIDA OFELIA MEDINA-RAMOS (DOB: 5/09/1948; single; waitress) of 1 East Harriet Avenue, Apartment 7, Palisades Park, NJ on charges of aggravated manslaughter, unauthorized practice of medicine and child endangerment, and ENMA MEDINA (DOB: 12/10/1983; married; unemployed) of 208A Commercial Avenue, Palisades Park, NJ on a child endangerment charge. The arrests are the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Palisades Park Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Sean Lee.
Authorities said Nicholas Pagano, 31, died by suicide via a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Waterford Township in Camden County, after an active manhunt.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain Darrin DeWitt. On Monday, February 7, 2022, at approximately 5:15 a.m., the Hackensack Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a Hackensack University Medical Center (“HUMC”) employee on a report of an assault at the hospital.
