“PissedOff”reader says ,Bible says that the person who did no sin shall throw the first stone, and yet here we are

Ridgewood NJ, “PissedOff” writes  from Starbucks perhaps :

“I wonder why there is so much hate and criticism. The role of the manager is to act as a spokesperson for the Village employees and be a part of the council. The council is elected to be a fair judge between the village government and the residents. Now, there is no way everyone would agree with the way things were handled and they certainly will not be 100% in support of going forward.
It’s amusing to see how this blog is becoming a podium for people to anonymously shame, disrespect and disregard others. Bible says that the person who did no sin shall throw the first stone, and yet here we are.
I would love to see the blog writers to put their energy into somethings more productive and help the community in a better way rather than just trying to creat a controversy. Paying taxes doesn’t mean we own people. This blog needs to be reported Since it’s acting as a platform for stirring hate and making the collar environment so toxic. SHAME AND DISGUSTING, THIS IS A PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR REPORTING.”

Well……………We got nothing lol ???

(Reuters) – Twitter Inc has clarified its definition of abusive behaviour that will prompt it to delete accounts, banning “hateful conduct” that promotes violence against specific groups.

The social media company disclosed the changes on Tuesday in a blog post, following rising criticism it was not doing enough to thwart Islamic State’s use of the site for propaganda and recruitment.

“As always, we embrace and encourage diverse opinions and beliefs, but we will continue to take action on accounts that cross the line into abuse,” Megan Cristina, director of Trust and Safety, said in the blog.

The new rules do not mention Islamic State or any other group by name.

“You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability or disease,” according to the revised rules. (https://bit.ly/1MFueNn)

The company previously used a more generic warning that banned users from threatening or promoting “violence against others.”

Rubio: ‘Real and present danger’ that Christianity will be labeled ‘hate speech’

US-VOTE-2012-REPUBLICAN CONVENTION

By Jordain Carney

Christianity is facing a “real and present danger” in the United States due to growing acceptance for gay marriage, Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio said.

“We are at the water’s edge of the argument that mainstream Christian teaching is hate speech. Because today, we’ve reached the point in our society where, if you do not support same-sex marriage, you are labeled a homophobe and a hater,” the Florida Republicantold CBN News.

Rubio said the “next step is to argue that the teachings of mainstream Christianity, the catechism of the Catholic Church, is hate speech, and that’s a real and present danger.”

The comments are the latest in a series of remarks on gay marriage that have put the presidential contender under the media spotlight.

Rubio said earlier this year, also during an interview with CBN News, that it’s “ridiculous and absurd” to believe that there is a constitutional right to same-sex marriage.

Those remarks came ahead of the Supreme Court hearing oral arguments in a case that could lead to same-sex couples being able to marry in all 50 states.

He added in his earlier interview that his stance against same-sex marriage “is not a policy against anyone.”

Reader says Yard Signs are Hate Speech ?

Reader says Yard Signs are Hate Speech ?

James, I think people here are really more eager just to ban “hate lawn-signs”.

Ridgewood blog asks  what qualifies as “Hate Lawn Signs” lol

Any lawn sign that criticizes a regionally significant inherently beneficial use of otherwise tax-revenue-generating chunk of real estate is a “hate lawn sign”.

your views are repulsive, and I am ashamed of you for propagating them. There are no “sensible restrictions on free speech,” and whoever thinks that stifling speech eliminates hatred, anger, and violence, is plainly wrong. The answer to hate speech is more speech, not less.

By the way, anyone who wishes to cling to “fire in a crowded theater,” just remember that the ruling was used to imprison Yiddish-speaking pacifists for handing out fliers to protest World War I. Is that “sensible,” #16?
