Ridgewood Councilmen Voigt At It Again !

Jeff Voigt Ridgewood Council

Ridgewood NJ, Resident Jacqueline Hone explains why she thinks Jeff Voigt’ s letter/behavior is “appalling.”

Letter: In support of HealthBarn https://www.northjersey.com/story/opinion/readers/2018/01/02/letter-support-healthbarn/997445001/

A resident, trusting in our local government, came forward to state his concerns and file a complaint about a Village matter. Along with his complaint, he provided pertinent information substantiating his claim (some of which is above).

Councilman Voigt published a statement, in the local newspaper and social media, smearing the resident, attacking his character and the complaint.

It is the Council’s fiduciary obligation to investigate citizen’s complaints, without bias, and provide a determination to the complaining resident. It is not their job to publicly slander residents, spread malicious gossip or tarnish a resident’s reputation in order to endorse one side.

Healthbarn advocate or not, a resident has the right to complain and question the Village on process, without fear of reprisal. Shame on Voigt for this attack and for misleading residents to believe the complaint was against Healthbarn. Residents are questioning the Village not the business. The deflecting has to stop.

Reader says the school of Aronsohn, not a school from which anyone wants to earn a degree.

civility_the_ridgewoodblog

Beware anyone who PREACHES civility. If Jan Philips is any indication, those who PREACH it do not practice it. And Jumpin Jeff Voigt, oh my gosh, he is busy trying to be kind and soft-spoken but we have seen his dark side, his outbursts, his evil doings, nope, not buying it. And they are both in the school of Aronsohn, not a school from which anyone wants to earn a degree.

There is NO GARAGE SUBCOMMITTEE, Jeff

Jeff Voigt Ridgewood Council

October 11,2017

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Jeff Voigt is spitting toxic nails from his mouth on Facebook, desperately sticking to his published LIES.  There is NO GARAGE SUBCOMMITTEE, Jeff.  None.  Do you think if you state this lie enough times it will somehow become true?  He claims that the Mayor is on the committee and one other council member.  NOT TRUE, there is no subcommittee.  He states that the mayor should step off the committee.  How can she step off a committee that does not exist?   In the person of Jeffrey Voigt have an elected official who lies openly, publicly, frequently and viciously.  This is not what our Village deserves.  This is not what people voted for when they were duped into thinking he was a straight shooter.

He was Against it before he was for it , Hudson Garage Saga Continues

Ridgewood NJ, how quickly they forget, in his recent letter to the editor , “Will Ridgewood ever build a garage?” ( https://www.northjersey.com/story/opinion/readers/2017/09/28/letter-ridgewood-ever-build-garage/712949001/ ), Councilmen Jeff Voigt  continues his efforts to undermine the current council . In the piece Voigt claims ,”One of the initiatives important to Ridgewood council members elected last year is to build a garage on Hudson Street” . Interesting because Voigt ran for office on a “no garage” platform.

The entire letter is once again an effort by Voigt and his small band of “developer owned ,pave over Ridgewood at all cost types ” , to blame the current mayor for all the stupid things done by the previous administration, “the 3 Amigos” . “The mess they created will take years to clean up and a lot of hard work if the Village is not to join the growing list of ” Most White Trash Cities In New Jersey ” ( https://theridgewoodblog.net/website-rolls-out-list-of-10-most-white-trash-cities-in-new-jersey/ ).

The letter like Councilmen Voigt’s  behavior on the Dais is a bit convoluted , in one instance he argues to proceed with the garage and on the other he says there is no information on the project and the voters have a right to know . Interesting didn’t that same councilmen try to stop residents from accessing his emails thru OPRA requests ?

Perhaps the councilmen would read the Ridgewood blog more thoroughly  in order to get better informed as to the comings and going in the Village of Ridgewood.

Judge rules Teaneck must pay resident’s attorney fees

Voigt OPRA

Megan Burrow, Staff Writer, @MegBurrowPublished 8:29 a.m. ET Aug. 2, 2017

TEANECK — A Superior Court judge has ruled that the township must pay legal fees to Elie Jones, a township resident that Teaneck had sued to bar him from filing public records requests after he flooded the clerk’s office with hundreds of requests over the course of two months.

“I feel the township sued a resident improperly,” Jones said. “I’m statutorily allowed to request documents through the Open Public Records Act. They improperly sued me and this is the result.”

OPRA : Anyone has the right to ask for public documents to determine if government officials are doing their job

Jeff Voigt Ridgewood Council

The open public records act is designed for a transparent government. Transparency so the public has access to otherwise hidden information. Anyone has the right to ask for public documents to determine if government officials are doing their job.

You ignored Voigts criminal and immoral act and decided to attack members of the public for doing something legal. Are you seriously blaming victims for the illegal act of a crazy elected official? If the village attorney is defending Voigt then it’s costing us money. Is the village attorney defending voigt? Residents should demand our tax dollars not be used for voigt criminal defense.

Ridgewood Council strife finds a venue in Superior Court

Nicholas Katzban , Staff Writer, @NicholasKatzbanPublished 7:22 p.m. ET July 13, 2017 | Updated 7:22 p.m. ET July 13, 2017

HACKENSACK — A Bergen County Superior Court judge found probable cause Thursday to proceed with three harassment complaints against Ridgewood Councilman Jeffrey Voigt.

The complaints against Voigt were filed by three residents who say the councilman made their unlisted cellphone numbers, emails and home addresses known to the public via posts on his Facebook page.

The judge dismissed Voigt’s counter complaint against the same residents.

So Long Crabby

Ridgewood NJ, in his recent letter to the editor Councilmen Jeff Voigt makes an impassioned plea: Don’t squash advisory board https://www.northjersey.com/story/opinion/readers/2017/06/20/letter-dont-squash-advisory-board/410315001/ and focuses on the misguided concept of Collective guilt. Which boils down to another attempt by a politician to use a special interest group to further his political agenda.

CRAB is nothing more than a political action committee looking to force their agenda down people throats . Recent attempts by the  group to target and undermine the current council and their vicious attacks on anyone who disagrees with their approach undermines there very mission.

The fact is CRAB is just another Aronsohn and an Company group looking to impose Hudson County Machine politics  on the Village of Ridgewood . The Latest attempt by CRAB pushing the rainbow flag did nothing to advance acceptance but created a more polarizing political situation in Ridgewood .

And finally by using Councilmen Voigts own logic the group used the wrong rainbow flag ,which according the BLM Black Lives Matter disenfranchises people of color by having them purposely excluded from the “gay coalition” .

Monroe Township in Gloucester County, it turns out, has a Hillary Clinton problem.

A Superior Court judge has just ruled that the township government violated the New Jersey Open Public Records Act because it failed to turn over in an OPRA request all emails leading to a change in its ambulance service.

Reader says The facts support the claim CRAB did target Ridgewood for “disruption”

village Council

The facts support the claim CRAB did target Ridgewood for “disruption”:
CRAB’s own meeting minutes going back to February of 2017 reflect the plan to ask the village to fly the flag in a public space, not over village hall.

CRAB then deviated from that to ask the village to fly the flag at village hall, a request they did not make of Glen Rock.
The village, rightly, raised concerns about flying the flag at village hall.

CRAB’s Jan Phillips, Janice Willet, and their supporters, including Voigt, then used that concern to label the mayor and deputy mayor as intolerant bigots. OPRA requests reveal Voigt ignoring and lying about an email on 5/4 from the mayor about flying the flag at Van Neste.

Facebook posts from Jan Phillips show she and her supporters knowingly took the mayor’s comments about flying the flag at village hall out of context in an effort to smear her. When called out that they had done so, they did not apologize or retract.

While the mayor and deputy mayor are clumsy communicators who have been their own worst enemy more times than not, they have been the target of Aronsohn and his library/garage/high-density crowd on this matter.

Stopped the paper after decades. Grew up reading great NYC dailies. It has deteriorated to trash. This seems to have a reporter,& councilman with similar vested agendas. That paper has trashed Christie, the Boy Scouts & the Roman Catholic Church regularly. Add Ridgewood to the caustic, repetitive onslaught that never has an ending. Very, very disappointed in this new politician.

village Council Elections

Funny how Voigt refers to “the mayor’s supporters.” All these people supported Voigt and the Mayor did, too. She had his sign in her front yard and campaigned for him. Looks like a boatload of people got fooled by him. What a crummy person he turned out to be. So nasty, paranoid, and not doing a single thing he campaigned to do. He was dead set against the garage, now he pushes for it. he was dead set against the nastiness of Arnonsohn and company, now he personifies it. he was dead set against underhanded dealings, now he is in bed with the press. he was an advocate for the people, now he is vilifying the citizens. Wow
