Explore our exhibits and learn about all the different ways you can get involved at the museum either as a member, a docent, or a committee member. Mahwah Museum board members will be on hand to speak with you about what they do and their plans for the future. All are welcome, so please feel free to share or invite friend. The New Jersey State Children’s Chorus to hold Open House for interested singers on Sept. 10 at 4:30 pm

Ridgewood NJ,  The New Jersey State Children’s Chorus (NJSCC) will hold an Open House on September 10 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Ave., Ridgewood NJ from 4:30 to 6:25 pm. The NJSCC singers are divided into two choirs by grade: Children from K-4 (the Apprentice Choir) should arrive between 4:30 and 5:00pm and children from 5-8 (the Intermediate Choir) should arrive from 5:00 – 6:15pm.

Parents will be able to register their children that afternoon for the 2019-2020 season which runs from September to June.  Children who are not immediately comfortable with the choral experience are welcome to attend the rehearsal on September 17th before committing to the season.

Come and meet our outstanding teachers and explore the benefits of a Catholic School education! Light refreshments will be served. We will also host an Open House on Wednesday, January 31st from 9am-11 am. Academy of Our Lady is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, is accredited by the Middle States Association and was recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

Enclave developer to hold open house

The development team proposing the Enclave upscale apartment building on Maple Avenue between East Ridgewood and Franklin avenues will host an open house beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 257 E. Ridgewood Ave.

The meeting is open to all village residents.

Developers for the 52-unit Enclave complex, as well as those proposing the Chestnut Village and the Dayton luxury housing projects, are seeking an amendment to the Ridgewood master plan that would permit high-density, multifamily housing in and around the Central Business District.

The master plan application is currently in the public hearing process before the Planning Board.

Instruction For All Ages

YWCA Judo to hold Open House on Tuesday, September 2nd International Judo Champion Offers Instruction for All Ages at YWCA Bergen County YWCA Bergen County’s judo programs, taught by International Medalist and 5th Degree Black Belt Christine Maurer, to hold open house and free trail class (new students only) on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5:45 – 6:45pm (Lil’ Dragons) and 6:45 – 7:15pm (U.S.J.A. Judo). Lil’ Dragons Judo and Life Skills (ages 4 to 7 years) combines Judo and life-skills training in a fun, exciting and enriching environment. Children learn basic judo tumbling and grappling, 911 skills, stranger danger, bully busting and personal safety. U.S.J.A. Judo (ages 5 years to adult) teaches Judo “the gentle way,” focusing on self-defense as well as building self-confidence and discipline through Judo’s throwing techniques and mat work. Belt rank promotions are certified through U.S. Judo Association and a Junior Judo Team is available for competition. Enrollment is going on now for the YWCA Bergen County’s judo programs. Classes begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Sign up by August 28 to receive $5 off the original price of Lil’ Dragons or U.S.J.A. Judo classes. Join both Lil’ Dragons and U.S.J.A.
