Alpine NJ, the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police are actively pursuing the whereabouts of an individual reported missing on Wednesday in Alpine. Law enforcement discovered an unoccupied white 2022 Mazda CX-5 at the Alpine Lookout, registered to a person reported missing to the New York City Police Department the day before, intensifying concerns. Although the missing person remains unidentified, the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police, in collaboration with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Drone and K-9 units, conducted a comprehensive search operation. Despite K-9 tracking leading to an area along the cliffs’ edge, the New Jersey Search and Rescue Team was summoned, and various search methods yielded no immediate results. The investigation is a joint effort between the Parkway Police Detective Bureau and the NYPD 1st Precinct Detective Squad. Englewood NJ, Englewood Police attempted to pull over a vehicle at 2:50am on Monday , the driver Joshua Alcantara, 30, sped away in a stolen Audi. Alcantara attempted to flee using the Palisades Parkway where he crashed the car and was picked up after he attempted to run by Palisades Interstate Parkway police. According to officials Alcantara who lives in Newark is suspected of committing several Belleville burglaries that include ATM theft. The Audi he was driving was stolen out of Lyndhurst.

Closer NJ, At 2:30 Saturday Closter Ambulance 727 responded to call on Henry Hudson Drive for a fall victim with a leg injury. Moments later, Closter Rescue 728 was requested when it was learned the patient had fallen from the cliff. A rappel team descended to the patient and safely brought him up to the roadway. The patient was transported to Hackensack University Hospital’s trauma unit. Mutual aid was provided by Alpine Fire Department, East Bergen Rappel Team, Fort Lee Ambulance, Fort Lee Police, Englewood ALS, Palisades Interstate Parkway Police.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, on July 1st Ho-Ho-Kus Police welcomed new Police Officer Kevin Rodrigo to the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department. Kevin, who will wear badge #53, joins the Department from the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police where he served since 2017 and was recognized for his performance with a Lieutenant’s Patrol Commendation and a Unit Citation Award. Rodrigo is a volunteer firefighter for Company #1 with the Secaucus Fire Department. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
