Ehrenberg patrol units at the mall were alerted about the fight at 7:02 p.m. When Officers arrived they saw several people fighting in the Food Court area , some in ski masks, throwing chairs at each other. Additional Paramus units were called in along with Police units from Rochelle Park, Maywood and Fair Lawn.

Ridgewood Nj, a medical episode may have been the cause of a Tuesday morning, 05/17, crash involving a fully loaded box truck on Route 17 southbound near the Garden State Parkway in Paramus. The truck veered off of the highway and came to rest in a storm water retention basin. Despite the mishap, no damage was visible on the vehicle. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and New Jersey State Police Troop “D” Garden State Parkway Patrol, Bloomfield Barracks units and personnel responded to the incident. An employee of the truck’s owner drove it away after a heavy duty tow truck removed it from the retention basin. Police at the scene provided no information regarding the condition of the truck’s original driver.
Paramus NJ, members of the Paramus Rescue Squad had to cut several roof pillars of a 4-door Toyota Camry sedan, and then peel back the roof to free an occupant following a rollover crash in the driveway of a single family home located on Gordon Drive in Paramus on Saturday morning, 05/07. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A Volvo sedan parked in the driveway was also damaged in the incident. The Camry was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Personnel and equipment from Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, the Paramus Rescue Squad, and a The Valley Hospital Paramedics all responded to aid the victim.

Paramus NJ, on Friday the Paramus Police Officers investigated a multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 South in the area of Route 4 this afternoon. During the crash which involved a horse trailer and a funeral home livery vehicle an ejection of mortal remains occurred. Three people were hospitalized with none of the injuries being reported as serious. The horse from the trailer escaped uninjured.
Paramus NJ, four (4) individuals were transported by ambulances to two (2) area hospitals following a multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 southbound in Paramus early Wednesday afternoon, 03/09. A rolled over dump truck involved in the crash spilled gravel over two (2) lanes of the busy highway, a concrete center divider was obliterated, and a crash related fluid spill triggered a response by Hazmat personnel. At least three (3) passenger vehicles were towed from the incident, which at times closed all lanes of Route 17 southbound and northbound. Paramus Police , Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, and the Paramus Rescue squad all had personnel on the ground at the scene. NJDOT also responded with numerous emergency vehicles and personnel.

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police reported that three (3) persons were injured in a horrific two (2) vehicle, Monday morning, 02/21, collision on Route 4 westbound near Fairview Avenue, Paramus. A Ford pickup truck apparently rear ended a Toyota minivan, sending the minivan off of the roadway sideways into a utility pole, with one of the vehicles winding up on top of the other. A fire hydrant was also a casualty of the incident. Paramus Fire Department , Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Rescue Squad personnel and equipment responded to the incident. Needless to say, both vehicles were towed from the scene. The right lane on route 4 west under the Fairview Avenue overpass was closed .Traffic on Route 4 westbound was backed up for miles as a result of the crash.

Ridgewood NJ, a Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K9 Patrol Unit and Paramus Police officers assisted a Ridgewood Police Patrol Division supervisor in the search for a burglary suspect near 32 Wilsey Square, Ridgewood on Tuesday morning, 02/15. The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification also responded to the incident. The suspect was able to elude capture despite a heavy police presence in the area.

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police apprehended an individual who allegedly fled from a crashed stolen vehicle on the roof of an adult day care center two (2) blocks from the southbound Route 17 crash site. The apprehension, which took place late Thursday afternoon, 01/27, followed an intensive search for the vehicle, which was reportedly stolen in Elmwood Park earlier in the day. A Paramus Fire Department tower ladder facilitated the removal of police officers and the detainee from the roof. Three (3) other occupants of the vehicle also fled the crash site, and two (2) remained at large late in the day after one (1) was nabbed by Paramus Police in the parking lot of a nearby supermarket. An unoccupied passenger car left running in a parking lot of a school near the crash site was stolen shortly after the individuals were seen fleeing. Additionally, an attempted car jacking was reported in neighboring Oradell within an hour after the incident on Route 17 unfolded. The crash on Route 17 involved six (6) vehicles; one (1) minor crash related injury was reported.
