
Washington Avenue between Pascack Road Intersection Project Continues the Week of August 1st

Twp of Washington NJ, a trailer loaded with scrap metal buckled and dropped to the roadway while being pulled by a tractor southbound in the 500 block of Pascack Road, Washington Township on Tuesday morning, 07/13. No injuries were reported in the incident. Washington Township Police closed a portion of Pascack Road while the trailer’s contents were off-loaded before it was removed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. Police at the scene indicated that several summons would likely be issued in connection with the mishap.

Twp of Washington NJ, Tuesday night an alleged gas leak near the Lukoil gas station at 290 Pascack Rd, Township Of Washington, sent Township police and Firefighters to the scene ,temporarily blocking Pascack road and the entrance to the Fresh Grocers Supermarket .

Washington Twp NJ, A red colored 4-door Toyota was totaled and its adult female driver injured during a crash into a utility pole at the intersection of Amherst Drive and Pascack Road, Washington Township late Thursday morning, 06/01. Washington Township firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the victim from the wreck. She was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s (HUMC) North Campus in Westwood. A paramedic team from HUMC North also responded to the incident. Washington Township PD is investigating the crash’s cause. There was at least one (1) witness to the event. The official vehicle belonging to Washington Township’s assistant fire chief sustained minor damage at the scene when it was accidentally struck by a paramedic team’s pickup truck.

Washington Twp NJ, A portion of heavily traveled Pascack Road in Washington Township was closed in both directions due to an unstable utility pole on Monday afternoon, 11/21. A PSE&G representative informed Washington Township PD that it could take up to eight (8) hours to repair the damage. Police officers above and beyond those deployed on a standard shift were called in to assist with traffic control.

Paramus NJ, Two (2) drivers involved in a late Wednesday afternoon, 06/22, three (3) vehicle collision at the intersection of Oradell Avenue and Pascack Road in Paramus were transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Two (2) of the three (3) vehicles involved were heavily damaged and removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Paramus PD, FD Company #1, and EMS units responded. A minor crash related fluid spill was attended to by fire department personnel. The crash was reported at 5:55 PM.

Paramus NJ, No injuries were reported in a three (3) vehicle crash at the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Pascack Road in Paramus that occurred late Friday afternoon, 03/11. However, Pascack Road was closed for over one (1) hour in both directions between Linwood Avenue and Ridgewood Road, Washington Township due to a unsafe utility pole that was damaged during the crash. Paramus PD officers responded to the scene along with Washington Township PD and FD units. Two (2) vehicles involved in the crash were heavily damaged and towed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks
