Ridgewood NJ, Thanksgiving dinners for most of us will be quite different this year. While many of us will be missing family and friends with whom we typically spend this holiday, most of us will likely not spend the day worrying about food. This is not the case for clients of the St. Paul’s, Paterson, Food Pantry. They struggle for food every single day. Please consider contributing to this ingathering next Sunday. All donated food will be brought to Paterson that day and distributed to grateful families on Tuesday. Anything you can spare will be very helpful.

Congressional Candidate Billy Prempeh Challenges Police Unions on Support for Bill Pascrell

Paterson NJ, Congressional candidate Billy Prempeh  questions police support for Congressman Bill Pascrell  who along with the rest of the Democrat party have turned their back law enforcement .
In a Facebook post Prempeh  lays out his position:
“The left has gone militant in their mission to defund the police. So militant that they are leading society off a cliff. Just take a look at new York city for example. The police haven’t been fully de-funded, yet crime has shot up %200+! Gang violence is spiking accross the country and the main people affected are the minority communities.
Ever since “Basement” Bill Pascrell aligned himself with radical left politicians such as Ilhan Omar, AOC, and the rest of the squad, crime in Paterson is at an all time high!
Yes, our police are not perfect. They are human just like all of us, but de-funding them will not make our communities any safer. Don’t buy into the dangerous progressive Utopian fantasy that getting rid of the police will somehow make all the criminals disappear and transform the world into Kumbaya land. It’s not gonna happen!

Paterson NJ, The 9th district is represented by Democrat Bill Pascrell, who resides in Paterson. Congressman Pascrell was first elected to Congress in 1996 from the old 8th district, defeating incumbent William J. Martini. The redistricting resulted in Pascrell’s hometown of Paterson being added to the 9th district, which had been represented by Steve Rothman, a fellow Democrat who like Pascrell entered Congress by winning a seat in the 1996 federal election. Both incumbents declared their intentions to run for their party’s nomination for the seat, which Pascrell won. Pascrell defeated Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the Republican nominee, in the general election.

Ridgewood NJ, Concern over mail-in balloting is rising as the presidential election approaches. Last month, we highlighted California Governor Gavin Newsom’s brazen mail-in ballot scam: an executive order mandating mail-in ballots “to preserve public health in the face of the threat of Covid-19.” Judicial Watch challenged the executive order in federal court, prompting the state legislature to pass a law ensuring that mail-in balloting would take place.

In June in a response to an Open Public Records Act request to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office  it was discovered that 710 Ridgewood voter ballots or approximately 15% were REJECTED in connection with the May 12, 2020 Board of Education, Board of Education Budget, and Village Council General Election.
