In the ad, which as one Twitter user pointed out is currently airing, parents concerned about curriculum materials in classrooms are labeled as “extremists” attacking New Jersey schools to score political points. Republicans in the state reacted fiercely to the ad, slamming the union for demonizing parents.
Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed A4075/3229 [t.e2ma.net] into law, requiring the board of education in each school district and board of trustees in each charter school or renaissance school in the state to develop and adopt a policy for the establishment of a threat assessment team at their respective schools.

Taxpayers better get used to it .While staffing shortage were cited as the primary problem, the reality is with more high density housing being targeted for the Valley Hospital property and the already built high density housing attracting more students to Ridgewood Schools ,taxpayers should prepare themselves to spend more money on classrooms and public education.

Ridgewood NJ, once again poor planning and misrepresentation of the impact of high density housing by both previous Village and the Ridgewood Board of Education officials have come back to bite the Ridgewood taxpayers . Parents have voiced concerns over how the lack of aides in kindergarten classrooms is affecting students’ safety and learning .
Ridgewood NJ, while Village residents voted to no longer vote on Ridgewood ‘s massive School Budget , budget discussions with the Ridgewood Board of Education have become merely a formality . On Monday Dr. Gorman, Mr. Bisig, Ms. Poelstra presented the 2022-2023 Preliminary Budget supports curriculum revisions and instructional resources; professional development aligned to the strategic plan goals and innovative programming, and staff/resources to support the academic program. The budget addresses the responsible maintenance of our buildings and grounds and stays within the guidelines of the New Jersey Statutory State caps. The presentation was followed by an opportunity for comments from the public on the preliminary budget. The final budget will be presented at the May 9, 2022 Board of Education Meeting.
