Village of Ridgewood Christmas Tree Pickup Starts January 2nd

Ridgewood NJ, Christmas Tree Pickup , the Ridgewood Parks Division will be picking up Christmas trees, with a Tuesday/Eastside and Thursday/Westside pattern with trees being picked up on the Eastside of the Village curbside, not in the street on Tuesdays January  2nd , 9th, 16th, and 23rd. Trees will then be picked up on the Westside of the Village curbside, not in the street on Thursdays, January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.  Please remove all ornaments and lights from the Christmas trees and do not place the tree in a plastic bag.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, Ridgewood Emergency Services, and Ridgewood OEM personnel were all kept very busy handling flooding related requests for service on Monday, 12/18. One (1) such request came from the owner of a black colored SUV whose vehicle began floating out of her driveway, which is immediately adjacent to the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook. A small excavator parked in the same area was also affected. Ridgewood firefighters secured both vehicles to nearby tree trunks. As of 1100 hours on Monday, no storm related injuries had been reported.

Major League Pickleball and PPA Tour Announce Merger

Ridgewood NJ, Major League Pickleball (MLP) and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour have officially merged, establishing a consolidated professional pickleball holding company. The merger, supported by a $50 million investment from SC Holdings and DC Pickleball Team owner Al Tylis, also involves investments from PPA Tour owner Tom Dundon and existing MLP team owners.

Family Dog Still Missing after Liberty Street Fire in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood firefighters quickly knocked down an early Monday afternoon, 12/11, structure fire that reportedly originated in the kitchen of a single family home on Liberty Street, Ridgewood. No injuries were reported but Chiweenie Linguini the families dog is still missing a day after the kitchen fire considerably damaged a Liberty Street home. A Chiweenie is a cross between a Chihuahua and a dachshund.
