Washington DC, The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.3 percent in April on a seasonally adjusted basis after rising 1.2 percent in March, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 8.3 percent before seasonal adjustment. Increases in the indexes for shelter, food, airline fares, and new vehicles were the largest contributors to the seasonally adjusted all items increase.
Ridgewood NJ, we have to laugh at this one , James Singer, DCCC Spokesperson called out Tom Kean Jr. for accepting campaign donations from Matt Mowers’ leadership PAC , claiming he voted in two states in 2016 saying, “If Tom Kean Jr. cares about election integrity he should denounce double voting and return the donations he took from Matt Mowers.” . How could that be, according to the Democrats, the “media” and Facebook censors there was absolutely positively no election fraud whatsoever.
Washington DC, John Durham, the special counsel appointed under former President Trump to investigate the FBI’s probing of Russian interference in the 2016 election, alleged in court that a tech executive “exploited” access to White House data in order to find damning information about Trump.
Washington DC,a Russian analyst who served as a source for the Steele dossier , a report filled with unverified allegations against former President Trump was arrested Thursday on charges of lying to the FBI as part of special counsel John Durham’s probe.
Ridgewood NJ, Russian hacking group REvil is targeting Apple in a $50 million ransomware attack. The group stole engineering and manufacturing schematics from Quanta, a company that manufactures products for Apple. It has already begun posting the stolen data. REvil is hoping that Apple will pay the ransom by May 1. Quanta refused to pay the ransom, saying that the hack did not impact the company’s business operations. The result being a massive data leak implying its a legitimate threat .
Washington DC, on Tuesday Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified Russian intelligence assessment . The extraordinary disclosure, released to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) earlier Tuesday, rankled Democrats, who said the move effectively put Russian disinformation into the public sphere in order to boost President Donald Trump’s claims about the government’s efforts to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Washington DC, Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the investigation into links between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign, two sources close to the matter tell Fox News.
Clinesmith was referred for potential prosecution by the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office, which conducted its own review of the Russia investigation.
Specifically, the inspector general accused Clinesmith, though not by name, of altering an email about former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page to say that he was “not a source” for another government agency. Page has said he was a source for the CIA. The DOJ relied on that assertion as it submitted a third and final renewal application in 2017 to eavesdrop on Page under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
To be clear, as soon as this FISA surveillance warrant was granted, the FBI, under the control of President Barack Obama, had access to the entire Trump campaign.
President Trump said on Twitter, “Kevin Clinesmith, “a corrupt FBI attorney who falsified FISA warrants” in James Comey’s FBI, is expected to plead guilty.”
Ridgewood NJ, There’s a story that’s being largely ignored by everyone, and it’s that Democrat party affiliation has tanked in recent months, after almost always being positive. In October, Democrats had an +8% advantage over Republicans in terms of which party Americans identify as (calculated simply as % Democrat minus % Republican = net +8 for Democrats), according to Gallup. This is a monthly tracking poll, and during the last three presidential elections, consisting of 45 total months of data, the Democrats have only had a negative rating versus the Republicans in 2 of those months, and even then they were just slightly negative, and it was early on in the campaigns, in September and October. Other than that, the Dems have been positive the whole time, and usually by a comfortable margin. In 2008, the Democrats were +14 at this point in the election cycle, and would peak at +18. Today they are -3, down from +8 in October, to +2 in November, to -2 in December and January. (The grey line on the graph clearly shows the Dems consistently under-performing the last three election cycles). Meanwhile, Trump’s approval has popped to 49% according to Gallup. It’s almost like the more the country sees what the Democrats actually are, instead of just thinking of them in hypothetical terms, the more the country is rejecting them. And the more Trump is secondary news to the Democrats’ dysfunction and extremism, and the more the country does well under him and all those apocalyptic predictions about his presidency prove to be the hyperbole they were, the more Trump becomes popular.
Washington DC, Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard filed a defamation lawsuit Wednesday against Hillary Clinton seeking $50 million in damages, claiming the former Democratic presidential nominee “carelessly and recklessly impugned” her reputation when she suggested in October that one of the 2020 Democratic candidates is “the favorite of the Russians.”
Washington DC, At the request of a number of committees of Congress, and for reasons of transparency, the President has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to provide for the immediate declassification of the following materials: (1) pages 10-12 and 17-34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; (2) all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and (3) all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications.
In addition, President Donald J. Trump has directed the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation, without redaction, of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.
