Ridgewood NJ, Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly stated that he is not a fan of multiple layers of management. The company’s Chief Product Officer wrote a post earlier this month about the need to ‘flatten’ the organization’s structure. All of this implies that further layoffs are likely. Meta made one of the largest staff reductions in its history in November, laying off more than 11,000 people. It is among the many tech companies that have reduced their workforces in the last few months.

UPDATE: Most Ridgewood Village Council members have “official” social media accounts

Ridgewood NJ, Several days ago we informed you of a Facebook account being used by a Village Council member to communicate with residents about Village business/issues. We are pleased to report that a banner/logo associated with the previous of use of the account in an election campaign, has now been removed and replaced with a banner/logo more suited to its present use. However, we still don’t know if anyone is being blocked from viewing the account, or from making comments thereon.

It’s yet another turn of events in a very contentious acquisition . Since April, the Tesla co-founder has shown buyer’s remorse over his $44 billion deal for the social media platform, criticizing management , questioning Twitter’s censorship policy and arguing Twitter wasn’t honest about bot ie Fake accounts. Musk officially backed out in July, triggering a lawsuit by Twitter ,but now has once again changed his mind and decided to pursue the deal.

Ridgewood NJ, US FCC commissioner Brendan Carr has asked Apple and Google to remove TikTok from their app stores. The video app is owned by Chinese company ByteDance. Carr claims that TikTok functions as a surveillance tool that harvests extensive amounts of personal and sensitive data from US citizens. TikTok says its data access approval process is overseen by a US-based security team and that data is only accessed on an as-needed basis under strict controls.
