Ridgewood NJ ,the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood has begun notifying patients of a data breach risk, after documents containing patient names and medical record numbers were improperly discarded at an outpatient COVID-19 testing facility.
Ridgewood NJ, Fitch Ratings Fitch Ratings has affirmed the ‘A+’ rating on approximately $356.4 million series 2019 revenue and refunding bonds that were issued by the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority on behalf of Valley Health System Obligated Group (Valley). Fitch has also affirmed Valley’s ‘A+’ Issuer Default Rating (IDR).
Ridgewood NJ, an adult occupant of a 4-door Mazda 3 was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a two (2) vehicle, Saturday evening collision in the 100 block of South Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. The victim’s injuries appeared to have been non-life threatening in nature. Both vehicles involved in the collision were towed from the scene. Ridgewood Police Department, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood Emergency Services officers/firefighters/EMTs responded to the incident.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood Emergency Services officers/firefighters/personnel responded to aid the adult victim of a single vehicle, rollover motor vehicle crash with entrapment that occurred on Route 17 southbound near Paramus Road, Ridgewood on Sunday afternoon, 09/25. The victim was quickly extricated by Ridgewood firefighters and transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. Tow trucks righted the vehicle, a Honda SUV, and removed it from the scene. Traffic flow on Route 17 southbound near the accident site was restricted on one (1) lane while emergency responders worked. The victim’s injuries appeared to have been non-life threatening in nature.
Ridgewood NJ, a classic 1965 Porsche was wrecked when it collided with a minivan and a utility pole on Friday afternoon, 09/23, at the intersection of Franklin Turnpike and Nagle Street, Ridgewood. Both drivers and a minivan passenger were transported by ambulances to The Valley Hospital. Ridgewood firefighters attended to a crash related fluid spill in addition to providing EMT services. Ridgewood Police handled traffic control and investigated the crash. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.
Ridgewood NJ, a serious head injury resultant from a two (2) vehicle, Wednesday morning, 09/21, collision at the intersection of Cantrell Road and Highland Avenue, Ridgewood resulted in a momentary loss of consciousness for one (1) of the drivers, and required that he be transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for evaluation and possible treatment. Both heavily damaged vehicles were towed from the scene. Ridgewood Police officers and Ridgewood firefighters responded to aid the victim and to remediate a crash related fluid spill.
Ridgewood NJ, seven (7) injuries were reported in connection with a Monday afternoon, 09/19, crash involving a Ridgewood Public School bus and two (2) passenger vehicles at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood. Five (5) crash victims were transported to local hospitals by multiple ambulances according to Ridgewood Emergency Services officials. All three (3) vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood Emergency Services personnel rushed to aid the victims. Additional EMS support was provided by EMS units from The Valley Hospital.
Ridgewood N J, Ridgewood Police officers and Ridgewood firefighters rushed to aid a bicyclist who was struck by an auto while traveling eastbound in the 200 block of East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood on Friday afternoon, 09/16. The adult e-bike rider sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment. Police interviewed the passenger vehicle’s driver, who remained on scene after colliding with the cyclist.
Midland Park NJ, Two (2) SUVs collided at the intersection of Erie Avenue and Franklin Avenue, Midland Park just before 9 PM on Thursday, 09/08. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. A traffic light was downed during the collision; a front end loader owned and operated by the Borough of Midland Park lifted it off one (1) of the crashed SUVs. A Midland Park EMS ambulance crew transported an adult driver to The Valley Hospital with a non-life threatening injury; the other driver was shaken, but uninjured. There appeared to have been no passengers in either vehicle. Midland Park firefighters attended to crash related fluid spills, and made both vehicles “safe” prior to their respective removal. The accident investigation was handled by Midland Park Police officers.
Ridgewood NJ, an adult male motorcyclist was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus after sustaining serious injuries in a Monday morning, 08/29, crash at the intersection of North Monroe Street and Woodfield Court, Ridgewood. A sanitation (garbage) truck owned by the Village of Ridgewood was reportedly involved in the crash as well. Officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department and Ridgewood Fire EMTs rushed to aid the victim, who was said to have been knocked unconscious in the collision. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Ridgewood Fire EMTs. The damaged motorcycle from the scene by a tow truck. There was no visible damage to the large truck.
Glen Rock NJ, an adult male visitor of the Saddle River County Park, Glen Rock Area was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital late Thursday afternoon, 08/25, after sustaining non-life threatening injuries when a tree limb fell on him while he was walking along a paved path. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock EMS, and Bergen County Sheriff’s Office personnel rushed to the park’s Prospect Street, Glen Rock entrance to aid the victim.
Ridgewood NJ, the adult male driver of a GMC Terrain refused ambulance transportation to The Valley Hospital following a Thursday morning, 08/25, crash in which his vehicle struck a tree near the intersection of Godwin and Doremus Avenues, Ridgewood. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department personnel responded to aid the victim. A Palisades Interstate Parkway Police officer, who was providing traffic control at a nearby road construction site, also responded to the incident. The damaged vehicle was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Glen Rock NJ, a Sunday afternoon, 07/03, crash on Route 208 northbound, in which a motorcycle operator sustained life threatening serious injuries, resulted in an approximate one (1) hour, complete closure of Route 208 northbound between Maple and Lincoln Avenues in Glen Rock. The crash victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus with the assistance of a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital. Glen Rock Police and Glen Rock EMS responded to aid the victim. Fair Lawn Police and Ridgewood Emergency Services assisted with traffic control. A pothole/roadway depression may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
