Demarest  NJ, moved by the loss of her infant sister, Erin Choi decided to use her knitting skills to craft hats for babies who require a stay in intensive care. This summer, the 2021 Academy of the Holy Angels graduate presented the Valley Hospital with 40 hats made by Choi and her club, Knitting for a Kause.

Glen Rock Police Revive Crash Victim with Narcan

Glen Rock NJ, Friday May 14th at 1:23 PM, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to Midwood Road to investigate a 9-1-1 report of an unconscious man behind the wheel of a 2016 Mercedes SUV. Unable to rouse the driver, officers forced entry to the vehicle and removed the unconscious man who was subsequently administered Narcan. Upon being revived, care was turned over to arriving paramedics, and he was transported by Glen Rock EMS to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. One officer suffered minor injuries while forcing entry to the vehicle. He was treated on scene and declined further aid.

Investigation determined that the vehicle the victim was driving had run off the roadway causing damage to the front lawn of a Midwood Road residence.  The matter was documented for insurance purposes.

Glen Rock NJ, Saturday March 27th at 1:10 p.m.  Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Waldron Avenue. Upon arrival a Prospect Park woman recounted that she was driving south on Maple Avenue when the vehicle in front of her stopped short to yield for a bicyclist. The woman was unable to stop in time and struck the vehicle. The vehicle. described as a grey VW Atlas, fled the scene south on Maple Avenue.

Ridgewood NJ, according to Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security on February 9, the US FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Eli Lilly’s monoclonal antibody cocktail of bamlanivimab and etesevimab as a treatment for COVID-19. The EUA specifically authorizes the treatment for “mild to moderate” COVID-19 in adults and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older who are “at high risk for progressing to severe” disease.

Audrey has encouraged all Valley employees and Medical Staff members to receive the vaccine. “This fills me with hope for the future,” she said.
