Paramus NJ, An out-of-court settlement of almost $16 million with the families of more than 70 seniors who died in state-run veterans facilities was confirmed by the Governor’s Administration today, and Senator Joe Pennacchio warned that more similar announcements may be forthcoming.

Bergen County SWAT Arrests Suspected Englewood Cocaine Dealer

Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of OSTIN REYES-MEJIA (DOB: 06/25/1985; married; waiter) of 146 Liberty Road, Englewood, NJ on a charge of distribution of cocaine.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley.

Australian Lab Attempts to Create a Jurassic Park with the de-extinct of the Tasmanian Tiger

Rdigewood NJ, a company called Colossal has partnered with an Australian lab to de-extinct the thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian Tiger. The plan involves obtaining thylacine genomes, identifying key differences between those genomes and related lineages, and then editing those differences into marsupial stem cells and using those stem cells for IVF. The project faces significant hurdles, but many factors make thylacine de-extinction more likely to be successful than mammoth de-extinction.

Robeson reported today that an investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victims Unit has led to the arrest of one individual on August 17, 2022. Ridgewood YMCA summer camp counselor Joshua F. Daranijo, 24, of Levittown, PA, was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault by contact and three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
