On Sunday mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 100. Heat index values as high as 103. Light south wind becoming southwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning.

Ridgewood NJ , Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced that the Division of Consumer Affairs has sent cease and desist warning letters to a combination of service, retail and restaurant operators in New Jersey. The letters alert merchants of their duty to disclose total selling price—including surcharges for using credit cards, debit cards or pre-paid cards (“Card Surcharges”)—to consumers.

Ridgewood NJ, a Heat Advisory was in effect yesterday . The combination of heat and humidity made it feel like it was anywhere from 95 to 104 degrees . Many residents turned to an old favorite Graydon Pool to cool off. Remember , no sharks ,no jellyfish , not traffic but plenty of parking .

As our customers, you have a right to know what happened and what we are doing to correct this situation. A sample collected on July 19, 2022 and repeat samples collected on July 20, 2022, with results generated on July 21, confirmed the presence of E. coli.

Ridgewood Police Officers Along with All New Jersey Law Enforcement Officers Will Now Have to be Licensed

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed S2742/A4194 into law, establishing a police licensing program for all New Jersey law enforcement officers. The new law will require all law enforcement officers to hold a valid, active license issued by the Police Training Commission (PTC) in order to be employed as officers in the State of New Jersey.

SUV Involved In an Accident at the Train Trestle Rolls Into a Ridgewood Police Cruiser

Ridgewood NJ, an unoccupied BMW X1 SUV that had been involved in a early Thursday afternoon, 07/21, two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Broad Street, Ridgewood, rolled into an unoccupied Ridgewood Police marked patrol vehicle that had responded to the incident. The BMW was towed from the scene; the patrol vehicle was driven away on its own power, but removed from service until repairs are made. No injuries were reported by any individuals who were involved in the initial collision.

Amazon Fresh Opens In the Fairway Market Space in Paramus

Paramus NJ, retail giant Amazon, made its highly anticipated debut on the Garden State’s supermarket scene. The company’s first Amazon Fresh grocery store in New Jersey opened at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, in Paramus. The new 40,000-square-foot store is located at 30 E. Ridgewood Avenue in the space formerly held by Fairway Market in the Fashion Center . Store hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
