Suspect Who Tried to Run Down Clifton Police Officers Still at Large

Clifton NJ, on 6/18/22, Clifton Police officers responded to the area of Valley Road on the report of a suspicious act in progress. Once our officers arrived on scene, one of the involved parties; specifically, Alberto J. Maymi-Sepulveda (42 years of age), began to flee the scene in a vehicle. While in the process of doing so, he slammed the door on the officer who was attempting to stop him. The suspect then accelerated and struck the officer with the vehicle as he fled from the scene. (The officer suffered arm contusions as a result of the incident).

Ridgewood NJ, A trove of internal Uber documents has leaked. The Uber Files consists of over 124,000 documents from between 2013 and 2017 and its not pretty. They show how Uber tried to gain support by discreetly courting government bureaucrats and world leaders. The documents also reveal how the company prepared a kill switch to shut off its computer systems to prevent authorities from successfully investigating its business.

No Injuries Reported at Hackensack Taco Bell Fire

Hackensack NJ, on Sunday July 10th 2nd platoon operated at 500 South River Street Taco Bell for a fire in the cockloft. Hackensack Fire Companies work extensively to open up the exterior wall and the roof area to contain the fire. Fire was brought under control in 45 Minutes. Englewood Fire, Teaneck Fire  and Bogota Fire assisted at the scene. No injuries reported Fire is currently under investigation.

Glen Rock Police Vehicle Chase Ends in Saddle River Where Occupants Were Finally Apprehended

Glen Rock NJ, on Monday July 4th  at 1:27 AM , while on patrol, Sgt. Carter observed a dark colored SUV traveling on Route 208 Northbound with no working tail lights. Glen Rock Police  Sgt. Carter attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop with the vehicle, but the vehicle accelerated and continued to travel into Wyckoff.  Sgt. Carter ceased his attempt to stop the car and notified surrounding towns of the vehicle description and reason for the attempt to stop.  A short time later, the Saddle River Police Department came across the vehicle and the occupants fled on foot.  All the occupants were later apprehended, and the adult driver faces several motor vehicle charges for the infractions that occurred in Glen Rock.

Glen Rock Police Investigate Possible Luring Incident

Glen Rock NJ, on Wednesday the 29th of June at 5:20 PM , a Glen Rock parent reported that their 11-year-old son was approached by the occupant of a black landscaping truck which had stopped next to the boy as he was walking along Highland Road about one hour prior to the report.  The boy reportedly ran off and was not followed.  He could not provide a further description.

Ridgefield Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of CARLOS FRANCISCO OLIVAR GOMEZ (DOB: 03/09/1980; married; painter) of 3710 W. Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, Maryland on charges of possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, specifically fentanyl and heroin. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella.
