Ridgewood NJ, a recent Twitter thread compares the last bearish phases in the crypto market to the current situation to see if the bear market has reached its bottom yet. It presents data from previous bear market bottom zones with metrics. BTC (Bitcoin)has always bottomed at around 70-85% from its top price except for the drawdown in 2011. It is still far too soon to tell if the market has reached the bottom yet. The current macroeconomic situation makes everything more uncertain.

Crypto Billionaire Warns : Some Crypto Exchanges Already “Secretly Insolvent”

Ridgewood NJ, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), the billionaire founder of FTX, believes that many third-tier exchanges are already secretly insolvent. SBF has been issuing cash infusions to save crypto companies from collapsing. The lack of regulations around crypto exchanges has made many exchanges vulnerable to scammers and hacks. FTX remains profitable and has been so for the past 10 quarters. SBF is not worried about Tether, saying that there is no evidence to support the bearish views around the stablecoin.

Newark Man Wanted on Charges of Receiving Stolen Property in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police have issued WANTED PERSON alert :
An arrest warrant has been issued by the Glen Rock Municipal Court for the arrest of Zykee Gregory, age 19, last known to reside in Newark, on charges of receiving stolen property. The complaint was signed by Det. Lucas Doney following a yearlong investigation into a motor vehicle theft, which took place on Glen Avenue in March of 2021.

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police remind residents that the Bergen County Mosquito Control will be performing an early morning Truck Spray in Paramus on Thursday, 06/30/2022, between the hours of 4-6 AM. They will be spraying in the neighborhoods between the Garden State Parkway and Forest Ave, north of Midland Ave and South of E. Ridgewood Ave. They will be spraying duet adulticide to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes as well as Vectorbac larvacide to help control mosquito larvae. Please keep your windows closed if you are in this area or surrounding streets. In the event that it rains, the spray will be postponed until the following day. Bergen County Mosquito Control  will also spraying in Moonachie on the same dates .

Bergen Community College Students Create: “ScanCan” The Intelligent Recycling Bin

Paramus NJ, Last week Bergen Community College’s team at the Community College Intelligence Challenge in Washington, D.C. was named the #1 overall winner with their “ScanCan”: The Intelligent Recycling Bin.” The “ScanCan” is a recycling bin that senses whether or not a product is recyclable before allowing it to be disposed of. Congratulations to students Jacob Jalinski, Tyler Jacobs, and Roee Shalom along with faculty mentors Luis De Abreu and Joseph Sivo. They also earned a congratulations from Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco.

7-year-old girl drowns in backyard pool in Teaneck

Teaneck NJ, Teaneck police have confirmed a child drowned Sunday night in a backyard swimming pool. The incident occurred  at a home on Westervelt Place. A 7-year-old girl, who is from Newark, was at a pool party with relatives. Those relatives had apparently rented the backyard space and the pool through an app called Swimply.
