The Ridgewood Daffy Dog Parade !

Ridgewood NJ, it was a bit chilly but it didn’t stop the “Daffy Dog Parade,”  held at the annual Daffodil Festival and Earth Day Fair in Van Neste Square in Ridgewood on April 10, 2022. Dog walkers in the parade walk through the park for all to see. Henry Rutgers won for best costume.

Englewood Cliffs NJ , on Saturday April 9th at approximately 12:34am,Englewood Cliffs patrol officers responded to a report of a commercial burglar alarm activation at an auto dealership on Syvlan Avenue in Englewood Cliffs. Upon arrival, Officer O’Shea and Officer Rampersad performed an exterior check which initially revealed that the premises were secure.

Help the Ridgewood Eagles Robotics Team Go To an International Competition

Ridgewood NJ,  Eric Zhou  a 7th grader at George Washington Middle School is part of a robotics team called the Eagles. They are a group of innovators ranging from the ages 9-to 13 and they are competing in the First Lego League competition. This year, the team came in first place in the Mount Olive regional competition. Then, they came in second place in the NJ state competition. Because they came in second place, they were invited to an event called the FLL Razorback Invitational.

Ridgewood Born Scottie Scheffler Wins the Masters

Ridgewood NJ , Scottie Scheffler won the Masters by three strokes Sunday, a spectacular chip shot on No. 3 giving him all the breathing room he needed to hold off first Cam Smith and then Rory McIlroy. Scheffler shot 71 in the final round, finishing at 10-under 278 for the tournament.  Scottie Scheffler is the current World Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

SUEZ to Lower the Dam Gates at the Woodcliff lake Dam

Hillsdale NJ, according Hillsdale emergency management SUEZ will be lowering the dam gates at the Woodcliff lake dam starting today.  The water release will be slow and take a couple of days causing a raise in local brooks (Pascack Brook) water levels . This is being done to bring the reservoir back to its proper level.

Academy of the Holy Angels Senior Gian Lee Wins National Gold Medal for Art

Demarest NJ,  Gian Lee, a senior at the Academy of the Holy Angels, earned a National Gold Medal in the 2022 Scholastic Art & Writing Competition. She was recognized for her painting, “Photosynthesis,” which depicts the artist’s shadow cast onto lush foliage.
