Tesla Unveils Model S Plaid, the ‘quickest production car ever made’

Paramus NJ, Tesla revealed a new high-performance Plaid version of the Model S on Thursday on a livestream. The event and delivery of the Model S were delayed as the vehicle needed more tweaking. It is expected to begin shipping to customers in March. The new Plaid has an estimated range of 390 miles, a top speed of 200mph, and can reach 0-60mph in 1.99 seconds. It features a simple interior, a landscape touchscreen, a stalkless U-shaped butterfly steering wheel, and an added screen for rear-seat passengers.

Alert Ridgewood Patrol officer Spots Vehicle Suspected in Hit and Run Attack on Parking Signs

Ridgewood NJ, a Ridgewood Police patrol officer spotted an occupied, white KIA Rio Hatchback sought in connection with a Wednesday afternoon, 06/09, hit and run crash, parked on a residential street less than 1/2 mile from where its driver allegedly drove up onto a sidewalk, damaging several parking stanchions and parked vehicles before fleeing the scene. The KIA’s adult male driver, suspected of DUI, was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Ridgewood Police headquarters. The damaged KIA, with a Village of Ridgewood owned parking advisory sign still impaled in its front bumper, was impounded and removed from its parked location by a flatbed tow truck. No injuries were reported in connection with the hit and run crash.

HealthBarn Foundation, Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce Host Event to Announcing Grant Fulfilment, New Effort & Honor Volunteers

Ridgewood NJ,  after successfully fulfilling its mission to deliver $1 million in economic relief to local restaurants and 100,000 hot and healthy meals to those facing food insecurity in Bergen County, the HealthBarn Foundation and its partners are committing to continuing the ‘Feed the Frontlines: Helping Those In Need’ initiative.  The nonprofit is seeking a second grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s ‘Sustain and Serve’ program after state lawmakers approved $10 million in additional funding for the NJEDA’s effort last week. The legislation has Governor Murphy’s support and is expected to be signed into law later this month.

Glen Rock Police Are Searching for a A black Infinity G37 that Fled the Scene of an Accident on North Route 208

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a multivehicle accident on Route 208 North just prior to Lincoln Avenue. Two vehicles remained on the scene, however, one fled. One person suffered minor injury but refused medical aid. A black Infinity G37 fled the scene north on Route 208, however, witnesses were unable to provide a license plate number. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident and can identify the vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.
