Ridgewood Crew Wins GOLD at the 2021 USRowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championships

West Windsor NJ,  Ridgewood Crew traveled to Mercer Lake to compete in the US Rowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship Regatta this weekend.  The crews competing at the Youth Nationals raced against some of the strongest rowing clubs and scholastic rowing programs of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Two-Thirds of Voters Say Border Problem Is a ‘Crisis,’ and Blame Biden

Washington DC, While the Biden administration has denied that problems at the southern border are a “crisis,” two-thirds of voters disagree and most say that President Joe Biden’s policies are to blame.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 66% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the current situation with migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border is a crisis. Twenty percent (20%) say it’s not a crisis, and 13% are not sure.

Group Responsible for the Colonial Pipeline Hack Apologizes

Linden NJ, the FBI confirmed that Darkside ransomware is responsible for the compromise of the Colonial Pipeline networks. In an odd twist DarkSide, the group behind the ransomware attack that took down Colonial Pipeline, has apologized for the consequences of the hack.

The group clarified that its goal was to make money and not to create problems for society. It promises to vet future victims to avoid social consequences. DarkSide also claimed it isn’t associated with a specific nation-state but it tends to avoid targeting systems running in certain Russian and Eastern European languages. Colonial Pipeline aims to restore service by the end of the week.

U.S. Chamber Calls for Ending $300 Weekly Supplemental Unemployment Benefits to Address Labor Shortages

WASHINGTON DC, The following statement can be attributed to U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley.

“The disappointing jobs report makes it clear that paying people not to work is dampening what should be a stronger jobs market. We need a comprehensive approach to dealing with our workforce issues and the very real threat unfilled positions poses to our economic recovery from the pandemic. One step policymakers should take now is ending the $300 weekly supplemental unemployment benefit.  Based on the Chamber’s analysis, the $300 benefit results in approximately one in four recipients taking home more in unemployment than they earned working.”

AHA’s participation was coordinated by Campus Minister Maryanne Miloscia.
