Washington DC, Federal income tax filing due date for the 2020 tax year will be automatically extended from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021. The Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Bureau of the Fiscal Service also announced they disbursed approximately 90 million Economic Impact Payments from the American Rescue Plan. As announced last week, Economic Impact Payments are rolling out in tranches to millions of Americans in the coming weeks.

Overall, Princeton Junction and Princeton finished 1-2 in the statewide rankings, followed by Ridgewood, Mountain Lakes, Upper Montclair, Princeton Meadows, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Providence, Glen Rock, and Monmouth Junction in the top 10.

Governor Phil Murphy Extends the Public Health Emergency Again !

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today signed Executive Order No. 231. The Order extends the Public Health Emergency that was declared on March 9, 2020 through Executive Order No. 103, which was previously extended in 2020 on April 7, May 6, June 4, July 2, August 1, August 27, September 25, October 24, November 22, and December 21, and again in 2021 on January 19 and February 17. Under the Emergency Health Powers Act, a declared public health emergency expires after 30 days unless renewed.

Newark NJ, on Sunday, 3/14/21, New Jersey Transit Police Officers Martinez, Pena-Perez, Ydo, and Mastrofilipo were on patrol at Newark Penn Station. The officers observed a man lying prone inside a restroom stall. Finding the man unconscious, they forced open the stall and removed him for treatment. They discovered that the man was near death. He was suffering an asphyxiation episode and exhibited signs of an impending overdose.⁣⁣

Jeff Van Drew (R-2) released the audio of a death threat Ocean City columnist John McCall, a longtime member of the New Jersey Press Association, recently left on his home phone while he was in Washington and blasted the Ocean City Sentinel for publishing columns, before and after, in which McCall insinuates Van Drew should be executed for treason, vividly describes invading and destroying his home, and graphically ponders what it would be like to sexually assault his wife over the hood of her car.

Gasoline Prices Headed Skyward as the Summer Driving Season Nears

Ridgewood NJ, according to AAA ,the United States could be in for a major surge in gasoline prices with the price in some U.S. states rising to as much as $4 per gallon . Since November’s election crude oil prices have shot up ,  and according to AAA data Americans are already paying 14% more for a gallon of gasoline than they were in February.

Ridgewood NJ, in a new study comparing searches to gage interest in Crypto currencies India ranked second with 804,000 annual online searches about cryptocurrency.

According to Reuters the government of India is planning to introduce legislation banning cryptocurrency, Reuters reports. The law would impose fines on anyone who trades, mines, or even holds cryptocurrency. The government has a comfortable majority in parliament, giving the proposal a good shot at becoming law.
