FBI Reports Huge Increase of over 300,000 More Cyber Crime Complaints in 2020 than 2019

Ridgewood NJ, the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center has released its annual report. The 2020 Internet Crime Report includes information from 791,790 complaints of suspected internet crime—an increase of more than 300,000 complaints from 2019—and reported losses exceeding $4.2 billion. State-specific statistics have also been released and can be found within the 2020 Internet Crime Report and in the accompanying 2020 State Reports.

Four More Correctional Officers Charged in Inmate Assault Probe at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility

Paramus NJ, over 700 school faculty staff received single-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen Vaccine on Saturday, March 13. The County of Bergen and Bergen New Bridge Medical Center recently hosted a COVID-19 vaccination day for school teachers and faculty at the Bergen County Technical School in Paramus. The one-day clinic took place on Saturday, March 13 and was coordinated in partnership with the Bergen County Education Association, the Executive County Superintendent’s Office, and the Bergen County Superintendent’s Association to provide access to K-12 staff now eligible for the vaccine under new NJ Department of Health guidance.

Glen Rock Women Reports Home Burglarized in the Middle of the Day

Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police, on Thursday March 11th  at 7:31 a.m.  a Cornwall Road resident, near Prospect Street, reported that her home had been burglarized the day prior, perhaps sometime between 12 noon and 2 PM. The complainant was not immediately aware anyone had entered the home at that time. Investigation found that entry was gained through a bedroom window. The actor(s) pried a screen from the window frame and opened the window which was concealed by large hedges. Missing from the home was an undetermined amount of jewelry. The resident is attempting to provide an inventory to detectives.
