Reader Says Ridgewood School Should Not Be Closed For The Lunar New Year

Ridgewood NJ, Chinese Americans should obviously be free to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and take an excused school absence, as should any other American who wishes to celebrate this day and originates from a nation that recognizes it. And when learning about other cultures, American schools should teach American children a bit about the holiday and its significance, as they should about many different nations’ and religions’ traditions, holidays, and festivals, and the importance of respecting people from different cultures. We could all benefit from that. However, the Lunar New Year is not an American holiday, nor should we pretend that it is.

MARSON of Leonia, NJ on charges of attempted murder, attempted carjacking, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest. Rochelle Park NJ, a vehicle fire in Rochelle Park early Wednesday morning (Jan. 29) quickly spread to a single-family home, leaving it uninhabitable and destroying two vehicles in the driveway.

The incident occurred on the 100 block of Becker Avenue, where Rochelle Park Police officers safely evacuated the home’s sole occupant before firefighters arrived.

I will be the first to admit: when I first started posting videos on YouTube, I had no idea what I was doing. I would wake up with a whim of the day and record whatever was on my mind, hit the “upload” button, and hope for the best. Spoiler alert: I didn’t get the best. In fact, I barely got any views at all, then I asked myself how to be a successful YouTuber?

Through trial and error, after hundreds of flops-and-some-quite-pretty-damning pretty embarrassing ones, I worked out a strategy that not only helped me grow a terrific audience but also made content creation much more fun.
