Mahwah NJ, Mahwah resident and Marine Corps veteran John Fesen is once again distributing free lawn signs to honor local veterans this Veterans Day, Nov. 11. For the fourth consecutive year, Fesen is funding this initiative entirely out of his own pocket to show appreciation for fellow military service members in his community.

Ridgewood Crew Scores a Silver, Two Other Top 10 Finishes at 2024 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Crew brought home a silver medal and two other boats finished in the top 10 on Sunday at the 54th annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta (HOSR) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Run on a 3,800-meter course that twists and turns under four bridges, this year’s Head of the Schuylkill featured more than 8,500 rowers of all ages from 282 clubs across the United States, Canada, and four other countries. Ridgewood sent 26 athletes to compete in 12 boats.

Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the arrest of 37-year-old MIGUEL A. CHIMBO-ORELLANA of Queens, NY on charges of kidnapping, sexual assault, witness tampering, criminal restraint, terroristic threats, and contempt of court. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a multiple-alarm fire broke out late Monday morning, October 28, in a mixed-use building on North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, severely damaging at least one second-floor apartment and causing significant fire, smoke, and water damage to the commercial businesses on the first floor.

Harrisburg PA, Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives has passed House Bill 2481 with strong bipartisan support, establishing regulatory clarity for digital assets. The bill protects self-custody rights, ensures Bitcoin payment capabilities, and provides explicit tax guidelines. The Satoshi Action Fund created the bill as part of a wider national effort. The bill will move to the Senate after the election. 12% of Pennsylvania’s population owns digital assets.

Fair Lawn NJ, on Sunday afternoon, October 17th, Fair Lawn Police responded swiftly to multiple 911 calls reporting a white BMW coupe with significant front-end damage driving erratically through Fair Lawn. The calls led officers to intercept the 2019 BMW on Saddle River Road near Erli Road just before 3:00 PM.

Road Work Begins on Ackerman Avenue in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, October 28th, a contractor for Bergen County will begin work on Ackerman Avenue in preparation for milling on October 29th and paving on October 30th. The work will begin at 7:00 am at the intersection of Godwin Avenue, and continue down Ackerman Avenue toward South Broad Street. Detours will be in place. Please build extra time into your schedule if you will be driving in this area.
