New Jersey Judge Suspended Over TikTok Videos: What Happened and Why It Matters

Hackensack NJ, the New Jersey Supreme Court has suspended a Bergen County judge from judicial office for three months, following accusations of inappropriate behavior on social media. Judge Gary N. Wilcox was found to have violated three judicial conduct rules by posting a series of TikTok videos that were deemed inappropriate. His suspension, which is without pay, will last from October 8, 2024, to January 8, 2025.

Kearny Man Charged in Fatal Lyndhurst Hit and Run

Lyndhurst NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 29-year-old STEVEEN G. NOVILLO-CABRERA of Kearny, on charges stemming from a fatal hit-and-run accident. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Lyndhurst Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Jarvis.

Twp of Washington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the conviction of PATRICK J. CAMILLI, 59, of Twp of Washington in connection with the murder of Mary E. Huber on October 23, 2021. After a four-week trial that began in September 2024 before the Honorable James X. Sattely, P.J.S.C. in Bergen County Superior Court, the defendant was found guilty. Sentencing is scheduled for November 22, 2024.

Hit-and-Run in Midland Park: Fatal Accident Under Investigation

Midland Park NJ, tragedy struck Midland Park on Friday evening, at approximately 7:09 p.m.,  October 11th, when a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Godwin Avenue and Witte Drive. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson after being transported by the Midland Park Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Ridgewood NJ, the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors has announced Franck Beaumin as the agency’s Customer Advocate.  Beaumin brings an international background in mass transit to New Jersey.  His experience covers a broad spectrum from bus rapid transit (BRT) in Bangladesh; to customer experience at a major transit operator in Paris, France; to overseeing customer communications with Keolis Commuter Services, which operates the MBTA’s 14 commuter rail lines serving the Greater Boston region and Rhode Island.
