Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police issued one (1) summons in connection with a two (2) vehicle, Friday morning, 02/16, collision at the intersection of Kenilworth Road and Laurel Road, Ridgewood. One (1) of the vehicles involved was a mini school bus. No children were on board the bus when the accident occurred. The bus’ three (3) adult occupants were uninjured, as was the driver of the 4-door sedan involved (no passengers were in the sedan). Both vehicles were towed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Ridgewood Fire/EMS also responded to the incident.

Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MELVIN THOMAS (DOB: 04/05/1991; single; unemployed) of Paramus, NJ, on charges of murder, desecration of human remains, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a weapon, and hindering. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert M.
