Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office reminds everyone to use social media safely as our Cyber Crimes Unit has seen an uptick in sextortion scams. If you are a victim, report the crime to your local police department. The FBI has seen a huge increase in the number of cases involving children and teens being threatened and coerced into sending explicit images online—a crime called sextortion.

Renowned Alexander’s Mural Making It’s Return to Paramus

Paramus NJ, the renowned Alexander’s mural, which had been removed from Paramus 25 years ago, is now finding a new home at The Valley Hospital’s new campus. The mural’s panels were unpacked on a Tuesday morning, with installation in the hospital’s garden scheduled to commence the following day, as confirmed by Erin Blake, Valley’s manager for external communications. The installation process, involving over two dozen panels, will extend throughout the month and is expected to be completed on or before October 27. This homecoming of the iconic mural signifies its return to the local landscape, evoking nostalgia and celebrating its historical significance.

Ridgewood NJ, almost a record… but not quite! Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church youth group open center had 103 teenagers! It might be a record for the highest number of teens this early in a school year.
The record to beat is 127, dating back to February 2018. If things continue as they are, I think we will break the record this program year!

Englewood NJ, the Englewood Police Department seeks assistance in an ongoing investigation  concerning a burglary that occurred  yesterday October 13th , on Old Quarry Road between the hours of 11:30am and 4:15pm . The department is asking all residents in the vicinity of Oak Trail , Cumberland Street  and Eton Street to review the footage from their Ring camera to help identify suspects that may have been captured on camera.
