T-Bone crash at the Intersection of Linwood Avenue and Walthery Avenue in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, a two (2) vehicle, Wednesday afternoon, 09/06, T-Bone crash at the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Walthery Avenue, Ridgewood resulted in non life-threatening injuries to one (1) driver. Ridgewood Fire Department-EMS transported the victim by ambulance to The Valley Hospital for treatment. Firefighters also attended to a crash related fluid spill. Ridgewood Police Department also responded. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Early Morning Crash in Ridgewood Triggers Birth of the Baby!

Ridgewood NJ, a black colored Acura SUV occupied by an pregnant woman being rushed to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood early Wednesday morning, 09/06, was involved in a collision just minutes away from the hospital on Route 17 northbound at Linwood Avenue. The collision likely triggered birth of the baby, who was transported to the hospital’s emergency room along with mom and dad by the driver of a work van that may have also been involved in the collision. Mother, child, and father were reported to all be doing fine following the harrowing mishap. Ridgewood Police officers responded to the crash scene to retrieve personal items from the crashed Acura and to investigate the crash. The Acura was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Paramus Police assisted with traffic control.

Paris France, in a major setback for micromobility  last Friday, Paris became the first European capital to outlaw e-scooter rentals. The ban, which doesn’t apply to privately owned scooters, was the result of a referendum this spring. An overwhelming 90%of voters voted for the ban.

Work Ethic: Teenagers Just Don’t Work Anymore

Ridgewood NJ, the percentage of teenagers who are working in America is abysmally low. In the 1950s, almost half of teenagers were working. That work rate slid slightly in the 40 percent to 45 percent range when baby boomers and Gen Xers were teens in the 1970s, and 1980s.

Closter Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Corps Extremely Busy Night

Closter NJ, while many were sleeping, Closter Volunteer Ambulance & Rescue Corps (CVARC) had an extremely busy night. At midnight, CVARC was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Demarest Avenue for a vehicle on its side. When the Closter Police arrived on scene, they discovered there were 5 occupants in the vehicle. Upon hearing this report, CVARC officer 733, requested a second ambulance to the scene. The crews of Ambulance 726 and 727 evaluated all the parties and 727 transported one patient to Valley Hospital.
