Nine Charged With Conspiracy To Steal Major Artworks And Sports Memorabilia Including Nine World Series Rings Stolen in 2014 from the Yogi Berra Museum

SCRANTON PA,  The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Nicholas Dombek, age 53, of Thornhurst, Pennsylvania, Damien Boland, age 47, of Moscow, Pennsylvania, Alfred Atsus, age 47, of Covington Township, Pennsylvania, and Joseph Atsus, age 48, of Roaring Brook, Pennsylvania were indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiracy to commit theft of major artwork, concealment or disposal of objects of cultural heritage, and interstate transportation of stolen property.  All four men were also charged with substantive counts of theft of major artwork and the concealment or disposal of objects of cultural heritage. Dombek was further charged with a substantive count of interstate transportation of stolen property.

Hackensack Man Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of an 11 Year Old

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of RUBEN SACA (DOB: 1/05/1969; married; laborer) of Hackensack, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Antista.

NJ Transit ,“Know Your ABCs” Initiative Encourages Customers to be Familiar with Alternate Routes in Case of Disruption

Ridgewood NJ, NJ TRANSIT is launching a campaign entitled “Know Your ABCs,” which encourages customers to be familiar with their “alternates, backups and contingencies” should there be a disruption on their usual mode of travel. For example, if a customer normally takes the train from Penn Station New York to New Jersey, they are encouraged to also know which bus routes from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York could be an alternative to, or near, their home station.

1. Outgoing police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke was honored with a proclamation. Everyone on the Council praised her. Councilwoman Winograd mentioned that it spoke so well of Luthcke that she had been chosen years ago by her peers to be the Chief. Apparently Winograd has no idea how the Police Chief is selected. It is not a popularity contest. Winograd loves to brag that she deals in facts. Well she got this all wrong.

The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer-in-Charge Captain Michael Antista.
